Montecristo White Box as a humidor?

Humidor-like quality doesn't mean a thing. You could store your cigars in cardboard boxes as long as you kept the humidity right. If you can find those go for it. That said, boxes like that tend to get picked over pretty fast so short of ebay or calling Cigar.com I doubt you'll find one let alone a few.

Just out of curiousity, why not just get a real humidor or build a coolerdor? There are places to get them pretty cheap.

the monte whit box is ok, but it hasnt got a tight seal, , they are not that big & have a limited life span, cracking & warping , Get the Biggest cooler you can find, put some shelves in it , & your home free, I have 9 humidors & one coolerdor, I can get more in the cooler that all 9 of the desk tops combined & it cost less than one of the humis , so it isnt all that nice looking , so what as long as it works, get a small desk top for looks to keep out in view, then stash everything else in the cooler ~~~~ remember Go as BIG as you can find, you will fill it sooner or later, Trust me you will fill it. Vince is soooooo correct. If you find it to be too ugly, just hide it in a closet.

What over flow?, between the walk in at the shop the Qtr.Deck & my 9 humis here at home, my lockers at the shop & the coolador , I have an abondance of storage space, BUT I will fill it all sooner or later,, Trust me , I will fill them all ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

No challenge, I sold off a few thousand sticks last year ( 2004) before I had a gastric by pass, Paid off the house , @ one point I had about 11K here in the house, that isnt counting what I had in my locker at the shop or what was in the walk in. Now it is a lot more restrained, just a few hundred here , & a few hundred there, & a few hundred my wife has no idea I have . hahahahaha
