Hello there, humidor advice

You also may want to check out this place
http://www.tampahumidor.com/
I have bought from there and was treated very well. also think about going bigger, 100 ct sounds great now but wait a moth and you are going to need a larger one.

and welcome to the foum

Welcome to the forum. That looks like a fine humi but like HighPSI said buy the biggest you can afford because when you get started buy sticks you will have wished you bought like a 300 or 400 count.

I had thought on a bigger one, but I'm currently in an apartment with limited space so lets just say for now :) thats all I can get.

welcome to the forum!! I think you will enjoy this little corner of the internet alot!!

I have dealt with Tampa Humidors before, if you ask them, they may have one in the "blemished" section for a considerable reduction. These are their scratched or blemished ones that do not affect the usage at all. You can phone them toll free and get all the help that you need. And, they have reasonable prices on their cigars also.

There you go!!

Welcome,,,,,just because it says it will hold 100 cigars doesn't mean it will. I've got a 150ct humi and I can only get about 100 in it. I buy robustos and toros mainly 48 to 56 ring, and I think most humis are rated for coronas or petite coronas 42 to 46 ring. So if you really need room for a 100, you may want to go bigger, depending on what size cigars you buy. Hope this helps.

Good point jesse, I never go by the claimed capacity anymore.

Welcome to our little niche in the world of cigars parkernick :)

I've never dealt with premiumhumidors so I can't vouch for them. On the other hand, tampahumidor is top notch. I ordered a nice cabinet from them last year and they forgot to include the cigar oasis I ordered with it. After I notified them of the situation they overnight-ed it to me at no additional charge. I've been very happy with their products and if I don't go ahead and custom build my next humidor I will more than likely go through them again.

Their customer service is almost as impeccable as cigar.com's :D

parkernick, if you think you need a 100-count humidor, then you really need a 300-count humidor. I bought a 300-count for my first, and have realized I should have gotten a 1200-count :)

Who knows, maybe I'll just convert a bedroom into a humi.

Welcome to the forum.

If you do get a humi with glass just make sure there is no direct sunlight that can hit it. That will save your sticks.

Ooooooo, I like that one. Lets see if I can get the wife to go for it.

thats the one i have...well i have the vicksburg which is a bit larger (500ct.) word of caution though, i dont know what kind of humidity device your gonna use, but that humi is fairly cavernous and needs adequate humidification and dispersion...the beads i was using wouldnt keep the humidity even so i had to go to a cigar oasis ($100+)

If you get the one from Bargain Humidor, season it with 2 glasses of distilled water for a few days, and also add some boveda packs. I have 3 boveda packs and 1/2 pound of crystal kat litter in my coolerdor and it works great. Stead at 67-68 % rh.

I am new to the forums and just wanted to say hello. So "Howdy"

Anyway, I am in the market for a new 100-ct. humidor and found one at the link below:

http://www.premiumhumidors.com/shop/Ite ... 86&CatID=2

My question is regarding anyone's experiences with premiumhumidors and whether or not this is a good buy?

I purchased a humidor with premium. Quality product, lowest price found on that particular model, and it arrived in about 5 days even with a ups mistake.

My eternal gratitude to whoever mentioned Tampa, I just found my "upgrade from 40ct to 300ct" next purchase.

What started as a harmless hobby has now become an obsession, my g/f seems to think my marbles have gone missing but thats nothing new.

By the way, I am not used to seeing any online place rival my local shops for pricing but Tampa seems to have them beat on a few things, I am going to print out their list and see if my local will beat their prices, hahaha.

Good luck to you there guys, I really do not think you can go wrong with either company for sure, they both have very good reputations from what I can see.

Cloudy, which one did you finally decide on? When yu get a chance post some pics for the rest of us to drool over.

I personally have not moved up in size yet, because then you feel this need to fill the silly thing, and I think my collection is big enough - just the right size so as not to agravate my better half!!
