Great humi! I bought the same model when I came up to the culinary academy and I have been very happy with it. Because of the amount of boxes I'm storing I had to remove one of the shelves but the top holds around 300 cigars so it's not a problem.
If I were you I would go ahead and order the cigar oasis plus for humidification...you won't be sorry :D

Ditto.

The only problem I had with mine was keeping the humidity level.
I had to put some weather stripping around the seals. It's perfect now.

It includes an Oasis XL humidifier and a digital hygrometer. For an extra $20.99, it think it is worth look into.

I just showed that to my wife as a potential fathers day gift.

Just around the door seals? Do you remember what size of weather stripping you used?

Not off hand but I have the box at home. When I get home I'll post it along with some pics of how and where I placed the stripping.

Did you ever get a chance to get the pics?

Here are the pics:

1st is the type of stripping I used

2nd is what the stripping looks like

The other pics show where I placed it.

As you can see, I had to cut the top part of the stripping away for it to fit in the door jams.

The top I used the complete strip to line the inside then used a cut strip to complete the seal.

It seems like a lot of work but it's worth it.

Let me know if these pics help.

Thanks DD.

Can't quite make out the size from the pic.

Is it 1/8" X 1/4" X 17"?

It's 3/8" X 1/4" X 17' (feet)

Did you end up buying the cabinet?

DD:

Not yet, but I plan on placing an order within the next week.

Thanks for all your help

Scott

DD:

Is the RH low in your area?

Did you go with the Oasis XL Plus?

Yeah, I went with the XL Plus. Works perfectly.
Just remember to let it run at about 79-80% for about 5 days before you put any sticks in the cabinet. Once you've let it run for 5 days drop the Oasis down to 65-67% and check the humidity often for the next few days. After about 2 days if the humidity stays the same (around 65-68%) then you can put the sticks in. I made the mistake of putting my sticks in too soon and my humidity was all over the place for about a week.

Right now where I am I have my Oasis set at 66% and it hasn't even kicked on in about 2 weeks. It's a little humid here next to the beach. My temp is around 73 and humidity is around 66-67%

Perfect in my opinion.
