Cigar storage...

Not a cigar smoker, so I'm seeking education from the masters. Just returned from my honeymoon in Jamaica. Brought back some Cohiba Esplendidos. What's the best way to store them? Don't have a humidor.

Tupperware container. Do you have a cigar shop around were you can get some form Hygrometer, (preferably digital) and a humidification device. worst comes to worst you can take a damp paper towel in a zip lock bag as long a s the humidity stays around 65 percent

First of all, BE CAREFUL.....

You better send them to me so that I can keep them safe...

PM me for my address...

Sorry about my BP moment...

Tubberware works fine. Just watch the humidity (65% or so) and the temperature (<70). That's how I keep mine.

Where did you go in Jamaica?

The island only has one Authorized Habanos dealer....

I may be weary, even from the hotels!

he's touching on my assumption also...

Glassplendidos!

No Cuban cigars come in glass top boxes. Tons of fake Cohiba Esplendido's are packaged that way.....

In the Dominican, I even saw glass top Fuentes on the street!!!

I didn't want to say anything before someone else.

I've also heard of Davidoff's in glass top boxes. Its like the black market had a sale on glass top boxes.

He mentioned that he is not a cigar smoker so my guess is that he probably doesn't want to invest into a humidor (YET!) (I wasn't a cigar smoker once too).

So what do you guys think about those Cigar bags I have seen in the shops?

I think they come in a few sizes. They have a pack inside for humidification and I think they are under $20. If he only has a few this may do the trick till the passion for Cigars become a hobby...It always does.

If we're think about the same thing, they have a humidipak in them that I beleive is good for three months. Its similar to the Boveda packs (which I use in my Cigar Caddy). They also use the same packs in the higher end Fuente boxes. They get a thumbs up from me.
