Ok you guys had lots of recommendations on cigars. Now I am looking to buy me a humidor I have a older one that was given to me but I want a bigger one. I am looking for one about a 100 count I think. What is a decent one? The only thing I have been told to look out for is Spanish cedar lining. I have seen many on ebay any of those any good?

This guy is one that is selling on ebay. Are all of them ok? Anything I should be watching out for??

Tampa Humidor is pretty good. I am sure there have been problems but Ibought mine from him and it was great, Small but great.

Go bigger, 100 is to small. you will find that it will fill up fast.

Are there problems with having a humidor for 150 and only keeping 50 to 10 in it? Though I see the reason behind it as I have been buying far more cigars then I can smoke.

you will always want more.

the larger you buy now the less often you have to buy a humi in the future.

Trust us in getting at least a 150 ct humidor. Sure, you may have 10-50 cigars this week. But in a month, you'll wish you had a cabinet humidor.

Truer words have never been spoken. I had plenty of room in my 150 ct when I started, but a few months later I was starting to read up on the usefulness of tupperware because I was out of room in the humidor.

Also, keep in mind that 150 ct. refers to a certain size, I think its corona. If you smoke the larger ring guages, you aren't going to be able to hold 150. Just something else to keep in mind. Happy hunting 8)

Sorry ment to say 50 to 70. Is there any problems with having to much empty space in a humidor? Say if I get a 150 and keep 30 in it will they be to dry? To moist? This brings me to my next question. What is the easy way to maintain humidity? After reading many web pages I have come to see that the choices are mind blowing. I am going with logic here and looking at 150 count humidors. I have found a few I like. What to do about a humidifier and a hydrometer? BTW thx for the help so far.

I think beads are the way to go.

those guys will get you beads at the RH for you.

an empty humi wont hold RH as well as one with cigars in it. I try to keep mine at least 1/2 way full. To overcome this problem, though, i would place WAY too many beads in there. they will control the RH.

Kuzi pretty much explained the humidity portion.

As for the hygrometer, throw away the analog hygro and get yourself a digital. It'll display both the temp and humidity.

Build a coolerdoor and spend the left over cash on smokes brother! :p

I have had a 150ct for a couple years, as for keeping humidity either use the beads, or spring for a cigar oasis. They are so simple and require much less maintenance.

plus when you break down and get a larger humidor (I just bought a 300ct 2 weeks ago) the oasis will work there too.

Travis---I would have to agree with these folks. When I started smokin cigars about a year ago, I bout THIS humidor.

Now with that one and a couple small tupper warecontainers full, I will be getting one for myself for Christmas. :D

Ok another question what about glass? Should a humidor be all wood or is glass ok? I found one I kind of like what do you think?? any problems??

Great question, Travis. Glass is okay as long as it won't be in too much sunlight. It isn't as easy to control the humidity when it starts heating up through the glass. Personally I like to stick to all wood. Just my 2 cents.

travis- I 've had 2 humidors with glass tops, as long as you can find a room or a corne where the sun will never directly hit it, you will be ok
