Acids Open in a Humidor

So what do you guys think of this. There is a new shop near where I reside, and today I went in to pick up a few Opus. I walk into thier brand new HUGE humidor. I am admiring the place when I swear I smell potpuri. I look to my left and  there they are, open to the world, ACIDS! Again  . Am I wrong in being so suprised, and will those things ruin that beautiful new humi?

If the humidor is indeed large, I do not think that Acids in the humidor would be an issue. My B&M has a large humidor, and has its acids and other flavoreds along one wall by itself. I've noticed no issues with their other cigars and they've been doing it this way for years.

I wouldn't worry about it, one of my local stores has a good sized walk in with ACID stored in the open and I have never noticed any odor. I am pretty sure that the air is recirculated and purified on a regular basis and as an added caution they don't store non-cello cigars anywhere near. For me, it's just one wall out of eight that I know not to bother looking at.

I highly doubt it would be a problem. Even in a small display humi, it still wouldn't bother me. Comingled singles would be another issue. I don't want them touching anything else.

A few boxes won't make a difference....I've seen a lot of humidors with open Acids, usually on the bottom shelf. Now, if they had Opus or Padron right next to them, I'd be worried...

:D :D :D
