Enjoying Life!
Hi all,

I am looking at putting a new humi in my office. I have a 300 ct. at home that is almost full, but cannot decide what size, or brand to look at. Any sugestions would be great.

Craig

Get a wine fridge for the house!

Then you will have a very nice 300 ct for the office....

Trust me....

ditto Robby and Chrissy! You can NEVER have too much humidor sapce...NEVER.

Has anyone here besides me ever needed less space?

you mean between your ears steve??

I would love to have a coolidor at home, but wife would probably freak. I could set one in my office. After all is said and done, what is the normal cost for a coolidor?

I bought a cooler from Meijer (50 qt) for 25 bucks. I bought a pound of beads for about 30. Then, I bought a digital hygrometer with a remote sensor so I can keep an eye on the humidity without opening it for 40 bucks. So 95 bucks total and I have fit 10 boxes in there.

Another dumb question. Can you use a wine cooler that is setup for half wine and half cigars. They have those coolers that are half for white wine and half for red, I would use the red portion for the humi with a oasis. Does anyone know if that can be done?

For your office? Heck, throw out one of your filing cabinets and put in a cabinet humidor, then write it off as work expenses. :D

I actual have a great spot for one. Problem being temp. I have a metal building, and I do not want to have to wear a jacket in the desert in the dead of summer because the air is constanly blowing on me ( I know I am a woose). I like the idead of a coolidor, but realy like the idea of doing 1/2 wine and 1/2 cigars. That way I can look good to the wife when I bring her home a nice bottle of chilled wine  . Now the wheels are turning a little to much I guess!

Chris that was both brutal and uncalled for! Also somewhat true... :D

Guys, I know it sounds great, but I'd abandon the wine cooler AND cigar humidor thoughts.
Trying to do double duty with it is really defeating the purpose of putting the smokes in it. Also, Be sure to look for the thermoelectric model. I have an Avanti ECW28, as do many of the others on board here.

YOU REALLY WILL NEED MORE ROOM......(not kidding, trust me , really  )....

just GO BIG, honestly i'd consider buckin up for an aristocrat, have your business pay, write it off...its office furniture anyhow and just hand out a cigar to clients/customers everynow and then

Here is what I did at first.

As time went on the shelfs got removed and replaced with boxes. I have removed the Co and just use beads now

Barcochris,

Do you have any fans in there to keep the humidty equal? How have you distrubted the beads throughout the wine fridge?

Thanks

I have wired up a couple PC fans on a timer but the Oust fan works well also.

As far as bead distrabution I have a pound in the bottom, a pound in the middle and a pound in the top.
