Seasoning your humidor with liquor

So I'm going to obtain a new humidor for fantastic reasons shown in my previous post. I know how to get a humidor ready for use by placing a bowl of water (I use RO/DI water from my house filter for my salt water fish tank) in the humidor for a few days until my digital hygrometer reaches the humidity I'd like which is easy enough. My previous humidor had a beautiful smell of Luis XIII from some Gurkah Grand Reserves that I had in it from some time ago. I wanted to see if it's possible for me to put a shot glass of maybe some of my good scotches in the humidor to infuse the taste/smell into the new humidor while I'm getting it ready for cigars. Has anyone tried this or had a good experience trying it with maybe a nice scotch something like Balvenie 21, Macallan 18, or maybe Glenlivet 21. Or should I stick with a nice Cognac. Although getting a shot glass of Louis the XIII maybe a little expensive :). Just curious if it maybe worth trying.

I would steer far away from any kind of home infusion tactics...
Good cigars come with their own flavors, aromas, and nuances. I myself prefer to allow the art of the blender and roller to stand on it's own rather than mask or alter it with anything else.
Just my humble opinion, but I suspect that the overwhelming majority would agree with me here.

Use that old humi for storing flavored/infused smokes.

If you really want to "play" put 1 cigar in a a jar with a shot glass
in the jar's bottom -
That will save a humidor & you'll see what your missing. :x
I'd use 2 cigars & let one air out before smokng it!!!!!
