Cheap Humidor

Not really cheap. But a scratch and dent from CI superstore with no shipping charge (but lots of re-packing) resulted in saving 50% off list price. Moved out of coolerdor and bought an Oasis XL Plus from CheapHumidor.com through Amazon. After receiving the wrong unit twice, got apology from Dave and some sweet swag (cutter, lighter and 4 Gurkha Legend cigars). Love it when customer service is good.

Nice piece of furniture. I have yet to ever find the scratch or dent when I buy one that way.
 
I did not find any scratches or dents. However, the door seal was not real tight, so I have put a couple of strips of clear duct tape along the seal. It took about 3 weeks to get conditioned.

I have a pound of beads in the top to suplement the Oasis SL Plus which is holding real steady. Having fun organizing sticks and trying to control my urge to fill the humidor.
 
I do the same thing with my cabinet - beads and the CO - I never have problems with that combination.

How about some pics of you filling it up?
 
Starting to fill up the humidor. If I outgrow this one, I will probably have to open up a cigar store. It is definitely more fun than looking at a coolerdor.

Looks good! When are you coming back out this way? You need to come back out to the Chop House and have a few drinks with Lisa and I!
 
Capt...where in the GR area are you? I live right by College and Michigan, literally like 5 minutes or so from the Chop House! we'll have to hook up sometime for a mini-herf and some drinks!

Mine had the same problem I ended up getting rid of it.
(Burned it up in the fire)
Was nice enough, but the humidity issues really got to me.
 
Looks like you scored a nice humidor at a great price, I'm sure it will be full in no time.

I am in Oakland County, I was referring to NoVI Chop House where John and I have met for smokes.
