Humidity Problem!

I just got my 100 count class top humidor and seasoned it. Placed my humicare humidity jar in with only about 10 cigars I got. My hygrometer at first read 70% which I was happy about but since then every day after the humidity drops about 1% and now it is down to 57%. How do I fix this problem?

I would check the hygrometer, first, to make sure it is calibrated properly. Season the humidor again, if the hygrometer is not the problem. Also, it's easier to keep a humidor stable the closer to full you keep it.
My 2 cents. I'm not an expert. Maybe the veterans will chime in.

Calibrating a hygrometer

Ya, try calibrating your hygrometer using the salt test.
Fill a bottle cap about 3/4 with salt and moisten the salt with a few drops of water so that it’s the consistency of paste.
Place your hygrometer along with the wet salt filled cap into a sandwich sized ziplock bag. Seal the bag and let it sit for 6 hours.
After 6 hours check the reading on your hygrometer. It should read 75% if the hygrometer is perfectly accurate.
