Smoke filtration system?

Seeing how it's deepest darkest winter and a bit cold here in the Midwest, I can't smoke outdoors that comfortably.

I'd like to smoke in my office, but am afraid that will be noticed quite quickly by my wife. So, I need some sort of air filtration system to knock the smoke and odor out.

I looked on the Internet and really couldn't find much.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Smoke Eater candles work for the scent, but the room has to be sealed from the rest of the house. I haven't seen anything that will do what you want real fast, but that air isowhatever it does thing they sell through Sharper Image does work albeit slower than your wife would want. I am assuming that if you had the door closed, one of the candles lit, and the air purifier going, with a vent to the outsideblowing air OUT, you would be all right.
If you could place a small vent fan in the interior wall(hot air from the house)blowing into the room, and a larger vent on the exterior wall exhausting outside, you would have a nice breathing, warm, room that would only require the use of a Smoke Eater candle. If I had a room that I could do that to, I would be all over it, but alas, the Army pays for my housing(Thank You Taxpayers, can I have a bigger one please?)

Ionic Breeze Quadra by The Sharper Image. There's plenty of air cleaners on the market. They're all over the internet. I got a Quadra three years ago from a client. It's great. Buy two, get the second at half price. You can always use another unless you live in a box. Don't be awed by the purchase price. It's silent, uses almost no electricity and cleaning is easy, takes minutes, and is only necessary every two weeks on average.

As a former employee used to say, "It's cheaper to keep her"

I would vote for the Ionic Breeze Quadra. A more expensive alternative would be an air filtration system based on one of those ceiling vents used in bathrooms. You install two of those vents in the room where you smoke and run the ducts outside the same way you would run a dryer vent. You can merge the two so that only one duct runs outside. They also sell remote fans that suck the air out of the room from a remote location so you don't have that fan sound over your head.

How well do the Ionic Breeze's work? The room I would use if I were to do it would be about 15'x15'.

They work EXTREMELY well to control cleanliness and also eliminate odors. The size room you mentioned will be just fine with one unit. I have a den at the bottom of my stairs in the basement which is 25x15 plus the vestibule which leads back to the staircase, bedroom, storage area, half bathroom and furnace room. Even without the ability to close off the den area, at least right now, that area's air is kept noticeably cleaner than if I didn't have the unit there. There's a feel and even clean "aroma" to a room where a properly maintained unit is kept, and my den is doing just fine.

The room you mentioned will be fine too, especially if that room has a door that can completely close it off.
