Cigar register

Yes, it takes a while but I like it. I need to get used to it first. I think putting everything in is going ot be hard.

im gonna download it tonight, i was trying to maintain my own excel worksheet for it, but it was just impossible keeping up with what went in and out (ie. taking the time to do it), but since this looks like some cool, fun software, i'll give it a shot...will it work on mac or just pc?

Looks great and simpler to use than my Excel sheet.

But, I don't want to register on their site to download it.

If anyone has it and can email it, shoot me a PM.

edit: nevermind.
Cigar Register is free for all use - you only have to register on this web-site to get it. Although it's free to download, distributing it - even for free - is strictly forbidden!

I don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Doc, the Proprietor of the site has said that he does not and will not give out E-mails and does not database them either.

Hi everybody,

I'm Peter, one of the developers of Cigar Register. It's always nice to see new threads about the software so I try to check in everywhere. Please post your opinion and your thoughts.

Doc-T, if you can write your problem with the registration process or the concept itself then maybe I can help you by answering. As I wrote on the Q&A section of the website, we only need your e-mail address to count the exact number of our users, so that's just statistics. By asking for somebody else's login you make our work harder because we won't have the numbers right and right now that's pretty much the only stat showing our success factor.

well, if you guys come up with something mac compatable be sure to let us know

Peter, will there be regular program updates for new cigars that come out? I downloaded the program last night, and while there are a lot of cigars in the database, I also had to add quite a few. It seems like a great program.

Thanks acharpe. Solving the database update issue is the biggest challenge in the next version. The answer to your question is yes, there will be database updates available as soon as we're out with that release.

Peter,

How do I go about removing a cigar from the humidor listing as I smoke 'em but not from the database?
Thanks.

Hey SLEEPER, I'm not peter, but I think I can answer this for you.
When you smoke a cigar from your humi. highlight that cigar in your cigar list - right click then click light up - this will bring up a review page - fill out this review and click finish. Doing this will remove (1) of that cigar from your inventory but it will remain in your history list. Click on the smokeroom button to read your reviews.
Hope this helps,
Brad

Brad.

Thanks for the reply/tip brother. I'll definately give that a try.

Peter, sorry for this late reply. I'll give this a try. Thanks for providing such program, and making it FREE.

So, I finally registered, downloaded, and installed the program.

Nice interface.

But.. Wait a minute! Where's Cusano in the database?! C'mon man! You've got to be kidding me! :p

No, seriously, great work on this cool database program. It makes my Excel sheet look like toilet paper. lol!

Keep up the great work, and we'll be waiting for them updates.

Alright. I need help with this.

I try to "Add cigar to humidor" and fill out the "Brand" and "Name" box from the database. Am I suppose to complete the Country, Size, Wrapper, Binder, Filler sections of that first Step 1 of 2 window also?

Filling it out or not, and completing the Step 2 of 2 window, it keeps telling me the cigar is already in the database, and won't let me add it to My Humidor.

What am I doing wrong?
