Somewhere Out there
I Ordered a bunch of them in my first cigar order right when i was getting into the hobby. They all basically sat in a extra humidor since then. Today I was curious so i popped open the humidor to take a look at them...The cello and a bunch of the cigars have become yellow and there is an indication of plume on some cigars...Has anybody smoked an aged ACID....what can one expect from it...I know with non flavored cigars they get better with age, is it the same with flavored cigars?

Any experiences anybody can share with me?

Usually, flavored cigars use cheap tobacco because of the flavoring masking the true tobacco aroma....I'm not really sure about ACID being aged...I used to love these things back in the day...but don't dedicate a humidor to them now as I don't smoke them anymore. I do know that now companies are using better tobacco with these sort of things, but I would assume that with what you start out with, is what you get...the ACID aroma and flavor is overbearing that you reall.y don't taste anything else...

I wonder if the yellow cello is an indicator of whatever additives are used starting to seep out from the cigar?

Yellow...Curry powder maybe? :eek:mg:

curry cigars...now thats a great idea somebody get Tom Ozgener on the phone...

Hahaha, The Curry flavored cigar, another unexpected casualty of the end of the boom. Come to think of it, th&$#sons probably does carry a curry cigar.

I would expect them to taste like poop, just like a fresh acid.

But seriously, I would think that the age would hopefully lighten their flavor a little bit so that its not so overpowering. All in all, I think it would definitely be an improvement. I would enjoy the acids more if the flavor wasn't so in-your-face powerful. Now the Naturals, that's another story. I think those are pretty good smokes, especially the Root. They are much more subtle.

Well my curiousity got the best of me...I smoked an Acid KMV, this cigar showed the most age on it. HORRIBLE!!! The aging mellowed out the Flavor, which in turn gave away to the taste of some real cheap tabacco. I stood there smoking the cigar hoping for something to kick in, but no luck. The cigar had a faint hint of the "flavoring" meanwhile there was a strong taste of the cheap tobacco...the mixture of the Faint artificial taste and the strong cheap tobacco made for a very unpleasant smoke.

With that said I have just one question..anybody interested in some well aged ACIDS?
