Did I jump in too fast

I have been reading here for a long time(over a year) but just had not taken the first step by purchasing. In the past I have smoked some OK stuff(macanudo) but am wanting to try better things. Well this fridays one day deal caught my eye and I made the purchase.

Now for the problem. I jumped in with no humidor or anything else to help store them. Everyone here speaks so highly of the C.com stuff I liked the idea of the sampler package. What do I do now to keep them in good condition until I try them all and decide what I am going to do(start a new hobby/not pursue the hobby)?

Thanks in advance.

Erik

You can use a well sealed tupperware container with a humdi pack. That would work just fine for now until you realize that this hobby has consumed your wallet and time. At that time you will want to get a humi of at least 300 count.

You should have a humipack coming with your order. Every once in a while soak that thing in distilled water for about 30 seconds. Then place that inside your tupperware or whatever container making sure it does not touch your cigars. Good luck to you.

P.S. If and when you decide to buy a humidor, follow Webesmoked's advice and go big, you won't regret it.

thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I have read in the past about the tupperware but was not sure if I needed the humi pack or what. Thanks for letting me know that one will come with the order. I have had an itch to get into this for awhile and plan to get my g-fathers humidor if I can find it in his things since he passed several years ago. Any more suggestions would be great.

My next suggestion would be just to buy a few sampler packs of other stuff and see what you like. Get involved in the PIF and Fun and Games threads here and get even more variety going. PIF and F&G is a great way to get to know some of the people round here while getting to sample some of what other members like to smoke.

By the way, if for some reason your C.com order doesn't come with a humipack you can buy them in different styles dirt cheap at a lot of places online, Boveda is a good one. Just google it and see where that leads you.

Hope you enjoy the forum.

can't stop

just an update to let you know how things are going. I recvd the one day deal last week and then took part in the very next one as well.(had to get the Xi2). Still trying to develop my liking but the CAO brazilia I had today seemed to be my top so far. Then again I have no real idea what is and is not a good stick. I think I have started another bad habit.

2 things

1) its a hobby. (all be it a very addictive one)
2) you know a cigar is good if you put it in your mouth, puff, and you like it.

Yep you jumped in to fast. The more you hang out here the worse it gets. Of course I don't think it's a bad habit I think it is a very relaxing and enjoyable hobby.
