Ok, so I catalloged all my cigars and been keeping it uptodate, but I went to add a few sticks to it and it won't come up, the computer says it is unavalable. i really dont know anything about computers so is it the computer or cigar register. And if either one, is all my hard work lost? Also i could never keep track of my humidity levels on cigar register. Did it not download correctly? Thanks Craig

Not sitting in front of your computer I can only guess so ...
Bear in mind that if you add a new stick to the database, it won't automatically be added to your collection, you'll then need to do that seperately. So if you're looking for it in your collection but haven't added it yet from the database, you won't find it.

Well yes and no. I can't even open it up to do anything. like my computer can't find it or something. i think i need to redownload it and hope that helps. i just hope I didnt lose all my hard work. thanks.
I'm seeing in the folder it installed in four .dll files. Including one with "Data" in the name. It appears to have all the cigar info in it. I'd save a copy of that to some other folder, reinstall, copy the new installations Data.dll file somewhere safe, and put the old Data.dll in its place.
Hopefully the new install will take care of the inability to open the program, and the Data file will take care of keeping all your additions.

He is right, as long as you save that data file, you shouldn't lose all your work in a re-install. I do stuff like that all the time, and it is a good idea to keep files like that in a different location - or back them up to a different folder - and then if something like this does happen you won't lose anything.
Today i went in to my cigar register and it worked. I didn't even have a chance to download a new one or save my files it just worked. This computer i am using is very new and i didn't think I would be having any problems with it. another thing I did notice was when i am playing a game I just got a week ago Prison tycoon 2 it will play for a while and then close it self and my hard erned work is lost sorry this isn't really cigar related now. i will back up my cigar register files though. thanks for the help guys.
