So this is the real question of the ages. If your poor, new, like cigars, want to fill up the humi, hopefully with a variety where would you look.

By the way this is me if no one figured it out. I'm a college student (poor of course) and am recently new into cigars. looking for a good buy. right now i have about twenty philly's in there and am trying to complement them with other fine smokes.

Just kidding i have Vegas 5 series, cusano 10, Gurkha legend, Olivia del flora, all cigar house blends, trilogy corojo, perdomo lot 23, a and i think one or two more but not sure. as you can see nothing extremely expensive or nice but all have been good smokes. any help would be greatly accepted and appreciated.

oh yeah sorry for rambling

The Friday deals can be really nice at times on cigar.com, I would also check cigarbid. they have great deals at times.

Good Luck,

Craig

Poor, new to cigars, and want some stock ...

Samplers.

Buying samplers is a great way to try out a number of different brands/blends/sizes/etc. And usually for less than if you bought them individually. This is a fantastic way for someone new to see what's out there and what floats your boat. And many samplers are the same quantity of sticks as a normal box of smokes. But you aren't stuck with just one kind of cigar in case they aren't your favorites.

Check out Cigar.com's Build your own sampler. You get a lot for the price, get to choose your own sticks, and have a good selection to choose from. I haven't orderd one yet, but I probablly will pretty soon.

The cusano lines are excellent for cheap yet flavorful blends. Even their budget line, the P1, is pretty good.

Good luck

the P1 is great!!!

i often debate on buying a box of those but i never seem to have the room for another box...

Third vote for the P1. Great smoke for the money. 5 vegas is a great line. Oliva are good, the regular Padron line.

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies i will def check into all the suggestions. I have been trying the samplers off cigar.com and out of my local shop. and i try to get a different smoke every time i go in.

But alas i go to school in Auburn so the local shop isn't the most inexpensive place. Football = celebration = alum buying cigars = college student SOL.

but i save and i splurge.

i really appreciate the advice. the members here always seem to be extremely helpful and considerate.

Padron

i have had a few and never a bad one. i really need to check out more of their line. AHHH so many choices.

Cusano

Ahhhh.. the cusano. i am new but a cusano ten series has been buy far my most enjoyable smoke.

i was sitting outside under the roof on a rainy day, sipping on a glass of Johny Walker Black Label. relaxing. taking in the sweet smell of rain, and slowly puffing away. savoring every sip and every draw.

i could taste the rich earthy, wood flavor of the scotch complimented by all the subtle flavors of the cusano- the most memorable being that hint of rose. (its been awhile so description is not very detailed)

man something about that smoke just stands out.

Anyway next stop P1

I almost forgot; Try the Sol Cubano line. The maduro is pretty good and it has one of the few conneticut leave cigars that I enjoy.

Im in the same boat poor college student and new to cigars, I havent seen this mentioned here, but when buying singles, try to get 2 or 3. Maybe its just me but I like to have the same cigar a few times before I create an opinion about one. Also this can be a quick way to fill your humi with different kinds of cigars.

On a side note, keep some phillies around or dutch masters, I know for me i got a lot of friends who bum some cigars from me and dont know crap about them so I hand them out, they are happy and I save money :D

for two brand samplers with a total of 10 cigars go to cigarinternational.com. they have a section called friday night fights. good stuff if you ask me.
if you dont really know cigars that well yet though, i reccomend you pick up the phone and call cigar.com. tell them what you like, even if its in general terms, and they will hook you up. they are awesome when it comes to service.

Thompson actually has a no label brand (2nds from somewhere) that are actually not bad "yard-gars". They run about $0.50 each.
