Just curious if anyone has tried any of the cigarillos in the tins from any of the various manufacturers? I know that they are machine made, but I've read some reviews that some are pretty close to the real thing.

I don't always have time to fully enjoy a cigar with a 3 yo running around the house, just wondering if they are worth a try and if there is any one brand that is better than another.

They are just a tease in my opinion. I am refering to the miniatures. I haven't tried any of the slightly larger ones but the cigarillos are a case of "A taste of honey is worse than none at all", they just left me jonesing for a real Cigar. IMHO.

5 Vegas Shorty......

Hand Made, and will satisfy.....

I have not enjoyed any of the cigars in tins. I remember picking up a few tins of Ashton Maduros and thinking they would be pretty decent. They were terribly constructed and tasted lousy in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Don't have much time - try an AF Exquisito. I thought these were a nice short smoke.

I'll have 40 of them in a few days. I'll let you know when I get them.

and...i have some as well...ive been nubbing every one of these...they are great....bought 40 last week...bought 40 yesterday...

I would agree with Kelvin on the AF Exquisito.

I also like the CAO Brazilia Cariocas, La Gloria Cubana Petit, Cohiba Red Dot Pequenos.

5 Vegas Shorty is amazing. I will also put up props for the Ashton Small Cigar Senorita, Partagas Black Label Pronto and Cohiba Red Dot Pequeno.

we have them but i have not gotten them online yet. Hopefully this week. In the meantime you can call in.

5V Shorty is my fave of all the tin cigars. Why? Because it's a Cameroon Wrapper AND long filler. They also come at a great price, about $1.50 each, compared to $2-00-$2.50 that most the other brands cost work out to. As a bonus, it lasts exactly as long as my drive home from work, so I get to sneak an extra cigar in on weekdays now. :D

The Ashton Senoritas are good too, but I'm not up on the CAO Brazilia Cariocas, they just don't come close to the flavor of the GOL imho. I was told they're short filler as well but the guy at the B&M could be wrong. I'd like to try the Gurkha tins which are also long filler but they're harder than Waldo to find.

Strangely enough, as much as I like the AF 858, I don't care for the AF tins much at all. Wasn't real thrilled w/the Cohiba Black tins either, but we all have our own tastes.

this is done no more PMs needed

My personal favorite "mini" is the Ashton Seniorita. I've tried a few different brands, and for the most part minis taste more like minis than whatever type of cigar they are. For example, a CAO Maduro mini and an Ashton Seniorita seem more similar to each other to me than they do to the corona sizes of the same name.
Now granted there are differences and I definitely like the taste of those CAOs better than the Ashtons, but the Senoritas aren't bad and they're cheap- $7-8 for a box of 10. Perhaps coming in a cardboard box instead of a fancy tin has something to do with it?
I've pretty much given up on tins at this point. I just don't see much use for them when I can get a box of 25 Hoyo de Monterrey Sabrosos (5x40) for $27.

I agree with hatchet on the 5 Vegas shortys. I Also liked the Zino Spectres and the CAO mx2s. They are oood if you want a quick one for work. Otherwise, you have to keep relighting a cigar.
