I have two humidors with about 25-35 cigars in each. At first the humidity was fine staying around 70-75 but has since dropped to about 67. I cant seem to bring either of them back up though.

DO you guys have any suggestions? Could if be the temp. of the house? the weather outside?\

Thanks

Thanks

I never keep ciagsr as high as 67% - I prefer 63% but that is me.

It most likely is the weather - in the winter the RH drops & it gets harder
to keep our humidors.

Sounds like you're doing good with 67% rh. You may be a little high as stated above. Surf around this forum and research why people use 65% and lower humidity. The 70/70 rule is not set in concrete and I think you will find that cigars smoke better at 65%.

To answer your question tho, I keep 70 degrees/ 65% humidity. However if my temp. drops below 70 degrees, my RH will drop tp 63-64%. It will usually go back up in a day or two.

When I first started smoking cigars I used to worry that if my RH went below 70% my sticks would dry up and be unsmokable (new word for webster's). I would make myself sick checking my hygrometer every hour. Try 65% or lower. Your cigars will be good to go, I promise.

RH beads work best for me in maintaining the constant and correct RH for my cigars.

enjoy the new-found smokeability of your cigars.

If you have had any burn issues in the past, this will fix a bunch of that. my humi is at 64% right now. im not worried.

some europeans keep their humidors at 60% or even 55%.

...freaks.

Ditto whats been said. I keep my smokes at 63%.
