out in the sticks w/ my sticks
im looking for an "everyday" smoke. something mild. I really enjoy the Cusano 18 but it is a bit pricey for me to smoke everyday. Anyone have any suggestions on a more economical alternative?

Honestly, for the money I don't think you can beat the Cigar.Com house blends. They cover all the bases depending on what your palate likes, and I've been happy with every all of them but the maduro (red label I think). The Cuban and Corojo labels are great if you like a fuller body, the Cameroon is also a good one. The Cuban and Corojo labels also age well, 6 months down the road they'll put a real smile on your face.

If you MUST have entirely long filler, I'd go with 5 Vegas Classic Torpedos, but they cost a little bit more.

thanks for the reply. ive been thinkin about trying the cigar.com labels. Looks like im gonna have to now )

i think the 5 vegas brand is a great value. even their hirgher end stuff is great bang for the buck.

5 Vegas is a great value...premium cigars, everyday prices...

If you want a good cigar for the pricepoint of cigar.com labels...go for the Rocky Patel R4...the least amount of unrefined tastes for the pricepoint.

I smoke Fuente Exquisitos.
They are a short filler (made from pieces of better cigars)
they cost 80-85 a box of 50.

ARNLT,
:?:
I can't help but asking about your avitar. Is that Bud from "Married With Children" pasted on Conans body? In all seriousness, it just kinda looks like Bud. Of course I think the guy that plays Wolverine looks like Bud Bundy as well.

LONG LIVE AL BUNDY!!!

oh no no no ) if i were to get offended by a perfect stranger posting about something i made public to untold perfect strangers in the first place, i have no business posting in a public forum ) i in no way meant to come across as "put out" in any way ) no apology needed ) but really, if anyone can point me in the right direction for a tutorial on hows to post pics in this forum i would owe a debt of gratitude )

p.s. thanks for all the response to this thread. it has given me a wealth of ideas to pull from

p.p.s i think there should be a sticky in Cigars 101 about good stix for under 4 (maybe 5) bucks a pop. wadda u alls think?

im not sure it needs to be a sticky. the tone of the board changes all the time and new cigars comeout all the time. you may be excited to get going once you get here and want a quick referance but we want people to ask the question ( and by "we" i mean "me") it keeps out opinion updated.

...in my opinion.

Lets see. Everyone else is dead on with the cigar.com labels. Good stuff. Also try the 5 vegas line. Pretty much ALL of them are nice.

Also I sent you a PM

Another option like Castle Crests is Arturo Fuente Brevas. They are also made from pieces of other cigars but you can get them for 1.18 a smoke if you shop around for them online. Also, for a Value brand there is one that I like. It's JM's. They are the same price as Brevas but I believe they are lonf filler. To date no one has believed me about the JMs but they are good. Finally I saw them rated highly on Cigar Cyclopedia. So, maybe i'm not crazy. I also like Indian Tabac Super Fuentes. You can get those for $2 a smoke. Those lean towards the full flavored though. Another one I stock up on sometimes is the Rockey Patel Maduro Selects. I believe thats like the Brevas and exquisitos. They taste like RPs Edges to me. I think they use vintage scraps for those. Ocassionally they go for $2 a stick. Well, those are my bargin basment ones. Also, if you look around you can find Cusanos in sampler packs for $2-3 a stick. But you have to shop around for that. I know one place that sells a box of Double conneticuts 18 for $54 and 8.50 shipping.

PM me if you want that last place.

Another inexpensive line of good ciagrs are the Sol Cubano's. I never had one I didn't like.

I thought I would ressurrect this thread to throw in a couple more quality value sticks.

La Gloria Cubana Wavell - it can be had for as little as 3 bucks a pop.

Famous Nic 3000's, a favorite of DogWatch Dale http://dogwatchsocialclub.com/

Ghurka Class Regents another classy cigar that can be had for under 4 bucks a stick.

Carry on Gentlemen!!
