Okay. So, I finally popped my Opus cherry last night. I have a few questions though. All the different types of Opus X - are they all the same and just different sizes? Do the different ones taste different? What's the deal here? I'm kind of embarrassed that I don't know this.

Never had one, but I would expect that there are differences in taste by size, shape and variety.

the OpusX does better in the smaller ring gauges. the no.4 is the best in my opinion then the no.5 then the Petite lancero.

the larger ones are good as well but i find that this blend is better the skinnier it gets.

they also do better with age. one year is a minimum in my opinion.

all Opus X taste like shit unless you age them for a couple years. They are harsh until they sit and mellow out. Good cigars with the right patience

Once you age them, they are very good. Different styles have slightly different blends, so they all give a variety of tastes. On the lower price point, the King B is one of my favorite cigars, and then there is the Casa Fuente, its only available in Vegas, but the proceeds go to supporting the Fuente Charitable foundation - you cannot say that about any Cuban.

I know its personal preference for cigars, I like em all mild-full. But whats up with this Opus Bandwagon? I felt it was just okay? Im confused I highy regard VSG's as Premium quality.

Both Opus and VSG's were aged 3 years. I have 8 year old Cohiba Siglo VI's from the release im about to crack open
