That's a little take off on an old movie title, Bad Day At Black Rock.

Whatever in the world prompted me to take out the 6x50 Black Pearl that Vince sent me a few months ago, to finish off a relaxing night with, as the clock wound down in last night's Documentary, Rock Concert, Football Game, Block Party, Telethon called . . .

Mondaye Knight Footeball, . . .

I'll never know.

After having Bloof's Famous Spaghetti (No Linguine in the house) with Garlic (63 cloves) and Oil, with the game well underway, I settled in with a two shot glass, straight up of Bourbon No. 9. No, go look in the Spiritus Fermenti forum, I'm not telling you what it is. We need activity over there. :cryinlaugh:

With about six minutes left in the game, I suddenly decided that it's been a long time, the meal I just had will handle a big cigar pretty well right now, maybe even a strong cigar.

Well, I think I told Vince that I wouldn't touch that Black Pearl for a long time. But it's been so long since I had one. WHAT'S a blond(e) to do?

:dunno: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh:

Well, I'll tell ya, I didn't do the right thing. I lit it at 2345 hours, and like the bourbon, which tasted weird, and muted, the cigar didn't taste like much either. How can you possibly taste anything properly after ingesting 63 cloves of barely cooked, super-pungent fresh garlic? :duh: :duh: :flush:

Yup, that's what happened.

:help: :help:   :flush:

The whole "Earnie Shavers" effect. I finished it at 0124 hours, and got knocked on my butt, but GOOD!!!

The GREAT DUMBONI STRIKES AGAIN!!! Well, at least I struck myself, and I'm here to tell about it. Or am I? I'm still trying to figure it out.

Proof positive, once again, that when I know how strong a cigar can be, especially the larger sizes, I should let it sit for at least a year.

:duh: :duh: :duh:

I had a CAO Sopranos do almost the same thing to me a few months back. It was Sunday night and I'm out on the deck enjoying one while sitting down. When I stood up, I knew I was in trouble. Staggered into the house, wife said I was pale, sweating, and shaking. I lay on the couch for a good 15-20 min before I could move.

Gotta age those things somemore.
