First off, let me just say this is my favorite cigar I've tried yet. Better than what I've tried at twice the price (ie Ashton Cabinet Series, although it's a very good cigar as well, just not worth twice the price).

Size: GOL - 5x56, or what I like to call a fat robusto.
Price: $5.95 at cigar.com, maybe slightly more at the local shop, I really can't remember.

Accompanied with my favorite, a Guinness Draught from the can, poured into a beer glass.

Overall Appearance: 20/20 - A beautiful dark, oily wrapper. Nice firm construction and an excellent cap.

Lighting & Burning Properties - 11/15 - Burned slightly uneven through halfway, where it actually started canoeing a bit. I touched a lit match to it to try and even it out but it wasn't playing ball. This is the only bad thing I can say about this cigar. Burned nice and slow, which it should, this thing is fat enough to go seal clubbing with.

Construction: 30/30 An easy to moderate draw and the wrapper stayed intact the whole way through.

Taste: 33/35 - I deducted 2 points because it was slightly milder than what I expected. Light spiciness to it and a bit of sweetness with a hint of cocoa. A bit of a citrus flavor when exhaled through the nose. Honestly I thought these flavors people tasted in cigars was a bunch of rubbish but this one proved me wrong. A nice complex smoke here. Rich aroma with a medium finish.

Total: 94 - my highest yet for a cigar.

Value: 5 stars out of 5 and Best Buy even at $6.00, simply because it's better than anything I've tried at twice the price. I haven't ponied up enough to pay three times as much for a cigar but I suspect I would feel the same way if I did.

Comments: Just an awesome smoke. Would have scored higher if not for the burn issues. Both guys at the local shop raved about this one and neither is a huge fan of CAO. I'm glad I listened to their recommendations. This is a must for the humidor. Put them in the bottom where nobody else will see them so you can keep them all to yourself

The Brazilia is my favorite CAO product by a mile. And the GOL is my favorite size. They are the one smoke that spends the shortest amount of time in my humi.

Great reviews puff, keep em coming!

Thanks dejoro, it's my favorite from CAO so far as well, although I have yet to try the Mx2. I'd have to say that right now it's my favorite cigar regardless of price, though this tends to change with my tastes, mood, and so on.

You just can't go wrong with a CAO Brazilia. The only problem I ever have with them is uneven burn, otherwise I couldn't give them more high of a praise....always consistent flavor profile.

Ohhhh yeah. I like the next size down too. I think maybe it is called Pirhana? Great little smoke.

Great review Dejoro.

Brazilia is a rock solid cigar. I find that they burn a little more consistent when stored at around 60-63 rh. Just my experience. I actually found a couple of the Anaconda size at a local smoke shop I visited for the first time but didn't buy them because the rest of the stuff in the humi looked either mummified from too much dry air or over moisturized. Damn shame, there were a ton of great cigars that looked unsmokable.

If you like the CAO Brazilia you may also like the Soprano edition.

i agree 100% with both of those statements.

Thx for the info on the Sopranos edition, I was wondering about those. I also like the Brazilia Cariocas for an after lunch smoke when I don't have the time to kick back for an hour or so. It's a flavorful little cigar and burns great. I like it a lot more than the AF Cubanitos or the Macanudo Ascots I've tried.

Another spot on review once again!! Of all the Brazilias that I have had, I do not think there was a bad on in the bunch!!

Carry on my brother, carry on!!

CAO is my favorite brand, and I recently tried the Brazilia. I actually had the Samba, which is 6 1/4 x 54. I actually had a pretty even burn all the way through, no problems.

I've been anxiously waiting for the CAO vision to come out though. Anyone tried it yet?
