96 Fonseca Cosacos 5-3/8 X 42
I picked this cigar from the box pass cause I have never smoked anything Fonseca. I was not sure what to expect.
Pre light
I used a punch on this cigar cause it has become my favorite way to “cut” a cigar. The pre light draw was perfect with a earth flavor. The cigar it self was quite nice looking good construction with a great looking wrapper
1 third
I paired this cigar with water, I have read that they are mild so I wanted to get all I could from it. All I really got out of this third was a spiciness. Not much flavor just spice. Perfect draw and burn.
2 Third
The cigar has settled down to a nice “creamy” mouth feel with a subtle earthy flavor, not unpleasant but not the greatest either.
Last third
Still a perfect burn and while the earthy flavors are still there the touch of spice has re emerged. I did smoke it to the nub.
Over all impression,
I do not find my self buying a box of these. I did not find it to be a bad cigar I just did not enjoy the flavors.
