I smoked two of these small cigars today. The wrapper is dark brown and fairly smooth to the touch. The cigar cuts easily, and has a good draw. The cigar is full of coffee and leather flavors with a mellowed spiciness. The cigar is smooth on the palate, and both cigars were consistent in draw, construction, and flavor. This is definitely a good cigar, and I would highly recommend it, especially if one is new to the VSG line and would like to try the less expensive in the line. I could see this cigar becoming an everyday smoke if not for the slightly higher pricepoint eg. $7.50 per cigar.

I will happily pay the price they ask for the VSG. I am thinking of trying a ESG today, any experience on that?

the vsg is one of my favorite cigars, and the tres mystique one of my favorite sizes, only sizes i dont like are the wizard and the perfecto shaped one (size name escapes me)...

as far as the esg's go, i love em, some people not so much, but i love the robusto then the church

Conni the ESG is ( for me anyways ) at best a shadow of the VSG. For the price I expected much more than I received from the couple of ESG's I've smoked. The VSG is one of my favorite NC's. I could be happy smoking those every day.

Nice review Chris.

Man, I still have a VSG and ESG sitting in my humidor just waiting for me!

I smoked my last VSG Friday. It came from Alex's private stach. When he sold the box to Brenda I bought a couple. Man they were good. I was at the cigar bar when I smoked it and saw some more there for double the price I paid.
