Nub Connecticut 460 review

Tonight I tried out a Nub Connecticut 460, I loved this cigar. The draw was great, I thought it had a cedar/spice taste. It burned even the whole way down, and the ash didn't fall until it was about 1/2" from the band. It was consistent the whole time I smoked it. It lasted about 45 min and I smoked it until there was nothing left to hold on to. I will be picking up some more of these soon.

I haven't smoked a Nub in quite awhile, but I always remember how long the ash holds on. If they make the Habano still - I thought that was the best one in the Nub line.

I have two of those in my humidor waiting their turn :)

I'd be curious to see what you think about them compared to the Connecticut!

I've always had a few Nubs in my humidor. My favorite is the Cameroon (I am partial to cameroons). The only gripe I have with the Nub is that it gets a little soggy and hot in the last half. That, and the fact that they don't last as long as Oliva claims. On the other hand, they ash nicely and the burn is always even.

I agree with you, it did get a little hot towards the end but it didn't bother me too much..

nice review.. I haven't tried a nub yet...but I'm going to do this...hope I'll get no less enjoy from it )))))

Every Nub I have had has been Perfect. Sam makes a nice Smoke and he even throws a great bash. I have seen him roll a few times. Not many Cigar company owners can do there own rolling.

Yah, that too. Never tried a Nub, but I did have a few short fat Don Lino's and I heard great things about the Nub 460 CT. Some ratings have the Habano as a little better. Maybe I'll fire one up tomorrow.

What really got me interested was the Day I tried a Gurkha Black Dragon Fury nublizer. Couldn't believe it took an hour to smoke it- loved it.

Well I dug up a 460 CT this afternoon and smoked it with a bottle of Sol. Good cigar with a nice flavor. I tried not to smoke too fast or too slow and it lasted 1 hour and six minutes. Perhaps a box is in the future-but I need to try the NUB CT 464 first.
