Another wonderful cigar. . . .

This was a huge 8x52 beauty in a medium brown wrapper that felt like deerskin to the touch. The band says Camacho on it, and I remember the very generous friend who sent it to me telling me it was a special edition, the Camacho Centennial I believe. Perhaps he'll pop in to elaborate.

As I relaxed this afternoon, enjoying the first day off of what I hope will be a relaxing weekend, a weekend when the decks will be mostly clear in my life, although there is that 18 year old matter that is being revived by a persistent bank I must write my attorney about, I thought what a perfect afternoon for a cigar!!!

So, I lit this big beauty at 1601 hours as I kicked back enjoying some of my regular and favorite radio listening. The cigar drew easily and had come from a humidor whose humidity reading was 68. In years past I've had trouble keeping proper levels in my four desk tops during the winter, but I've found the perfect solution for me, so all my cigars are doing just fine this winter, thankfully.

Definitely a rich tasting, light-medium bodied smoke with a beautiful silky smoke that had distinct flavors, the most prevalent being a sort of bittersweet chocolate backed by flinty or basil notes all the way through. At one hour and fifty minutes, ending at 1751 hours it was definitely a typical large cigar experience, very relaxing with a long lasting but gentle kick that I'm still feeling and one that gave way to a lot of soothing, creative thoughts.

This weekend is going too well, and it's only one day old. That makes me suspicious.

Only an uneducated half-breed mongrel wouldn't recognize this cigar as the Camacho Liberty 2003. :D
