Cigar Trade 2000 post contest!!

Okay freinds its 20 question time. Everyone gets to ask one question untill 20 questions have been asked.

Then, you get one guess every two days untill the answer has been guessed.

Number the questions, so that we keep track of the questions.

Here is the first hint:

I watched a movie on TV the other day, and there was a man who plays a doctor, a man who was a dentist, and a man who later plays a policeman in it.

What was the title of the movie, and what year was it made.

I will answer by question number, and that may prevent confusion.
#1. No, the lead is not a comedian, but he is a famous actor.
#2. I don't know, that earns a free question.
#5. Nope, its not Pink Panther, but good guess.
#5. This is the first version of this movie. There is more than one.

Good guesses one and all, but no correct ones yet. And now on to the questions.....

8. The genre is Western.
9. There were two main stars, both went on to star in many many other movies. I don't want to give it away this early, but will reveal these names a little later on.
10.I believe the era was in the 40's but I could be wrong. At any rate it is an old movie.


We are misssing questions for numbers 3, and 4, so anyone may ask questions with those numbers. Three men and a little girl/baby was a very good guess, it is also one of my favorite movies, but is not the movie I am looking for.
