whats the deal with the cigar.com brand cigars? who makes them? i had one of the cuban label cigars last night, not too bad.

I have not tried them all but I did have the cuban and it is actually one of my everyday smokes. Anyway according to the description the provide it is rolled at the tabadom factory which means it is probably made by davidoff becuase that is where davidoff, avo, griffins, etc are made.

i also believe the davidoff theory. i always keep a fair stash of the cuban label as well as the cameroon label!!! absolutely yummy on both counts.

i keep saying it, but you will be hard pressed to find much better for $2-$3 a stick. ( and any of you cigar.com guys reading should note my shameless promotions  ).

That's it. Next time I go shopping I'm adding cigar.com to my list of favorite cigar web sites. Youse guys dun twisted my ahm.

I have tried the Cuban Label, Purple Label, and Blue Label. I have found the Purple to be very mild and are an everyday smoke for me. The Cuban is also very good. The Blue I do not remember anything outstanding. They are all good values if you smoke 2 or more a day as I do. I would recommend trying them! :D

I noticed the shameless promotions hollywood :D :D

Always good to see!!

I happen to be about half way through one of the cigars from the sampler pack that I ordered (Cuban Label) and I have to say it's not bad. Nice white ash, lotsa smoke. I shoulda let them sit in the humidor for a few days but I couldn't help it! Also came with a cutter too! Talk about nice service! I think I've found a new online cigar source. JR don't give a cutter away with their cigars. :dunno: Looks like all my sticks will be coming from Chicago from now on! Simp

My pleasure!! I just got in some more yesterday. A few Cuban and Red label Torpedos.

I have to say, they are so GOOD!! Always dependable.

just had one of the cuban lable coronas. i dont know what was up with the particular one i had, but i was not impressed. it had no flavor like the other one i had, i think it was a robusto. it burned ok untill half way through, it went out and i couldnt get it lit again. whats up with that? guess sometimes you get lucky and get a rare one out of the bunch huh?

In my experience they have been good cigars but unfortunately the consistency in the quality is poor. In one order they would be great, in the next they would be poor, they'd be either really loose or hard as a rock.

There was a cigar I use to really like called the Hoja Cubana Yellow label. Cigar.com quit carring them just prior to bringing in their house brand with the same label scheme. I assumed the Hoja was dropped to avoid competition with their brand. Coincidence?

i smoke another of the cuban label cigars, the torpedo, much better than the corona.

I really dig cigar.com's private labels. I was madly in love with the Red Label for some time.

I have one issue with them, only the Blue Label comes in the toro size. I tried it and really didn't care for it...the whole natural wrapper thing probably. Additionally, cigar.com sells Flor de Oliva bundles, great $2 smokes!

Never tried these, but if you enjoy maduro smokes, check out the Consuegras at JR's.

What's Cigar.com's shipping? Hard to beat JR's $2 flat on most things...

Hey Benny, you know we're actually located in Chicago....I don't know too much about how JR ships, who they use, etc...so everything factors in to play when it comes to that.

yea but i get 10% off with the cigar of the month club, if my order is big enough that takes care of the shipping.

jhiggs,

did you get your march club yet? I smoked the cao cameroon robusto first since it just got the 92 rating in CA last issue. Good but I am not sure 92 worthy. What did you think?

no, i havent gotten it yet, im a little concerned, i was billed on the 24th. do they come usps or fedex?

cigar.com's shipping is about $6...but it's FedEx Express Saver. Now, I'm in Chicago, so this may or may not matter for the rest of you, but as long as I place my order before 4pm central time, I get my smokes the next morning. FedEx runs here to my office by about 8 or 9am.
