storing tubed cigars?

I got a La Aurora Preferido Sapphire No. 2, and I was wondering what the best way to store it is. In the tube or out of the tube?

I usually take mine out of the tubes and let them sit in my humidor. I think that if it's out of the tube it will age better.

cool...I'll do that. I think I'll let it sit in there for a couple weeks before I smoke it.

I keep my tubed cigars in thier tubes. I see it as kind of preserving the artistic integrity of the cigar. If they put it in a tube, then they probably got it just the way they want it.

Some of my best experiences have been from a tube: Indian Tabac Delux Tubo Churchill, Torano Reserva Selecta Torpdeo, and La Aurora Preferido Platinum to name a few.

id say take them out of the tube just because they take up less space that way.

I take mine out to save up space too. Macallan's right...no right or wrong, but as Tombstone said, they do age better out of the tube, or at least sitting in an open tube

2 weeks makes no difference.

If your talking a year better out of the tube.

If were talking many years  5+ then in the tube.
Tubes do make cigars age slower, but given a long time
I have heard their is benifit to in tube aging.

IMHO - does it matter - NO not really!

So I am guessing that the Tube theories here are similar for the plastic wrap... I like to store naked cigars, as I believe the humidity level is more uniform from cigar to cigar, as each cigar acts as its own sponge, and can breath easier with the tube cap off, or out of the plastic wrapper.

I have another similar question though...

It takes me about a year to smoke a whole box of one cigar, as I like to mix up the flavors I smoke on a regular basis. My question is for the storage of differnt smokes in the same humidor. If I have mild and full bodied cigars in the same humidor, should I leave the plastic wrap on to prevent "cross contamination" or will there be minimal effects of fermenting different flavors of tobacco in the same Humidor?

I do not believe there is anything to worry about.
This topic comes up a lot and well I always say - if flavors marry people would stick 1 or 2 crap smokes in a box of good smokes in hopes of making them better.
Often people will put a peice of cedar inbetween their cigars to keep them seperate - IMHO there is nothing to worry about!

if i remember right, the problem with those cigars it they open in the middle. there isn't really an open them and let them sit option. it's in or out with those
