Per your suggestion I tried the Camacho Havana Fig.Everything great about the cigar except it just wasn't my Padron like taste. A good cigar that would please many but not for me.
Again good job by Cigar.com- shipping two cigars for me to try.

Sorry to hear it was not your cup of tea. You mentioned two cigars, what was the other?

Both cigars were the Camacho Fig.

A friend recently gave me a CAO Gold Torpedo in exchange for a Padron 3000. The Padron was too strong for him, and the CAO Gold was to mild for me.The CAO was a beautiful cigar, and it smoked perfectly. We each should have smoked our own brand.
Still searching.

Padron is an awsome cigar, I still love the Magnums and 6000 Maduros. I was always a padron guy, now I feel more like a Camacho guy....The Diplomas are unreal. They are so hearty, oily and have a chicken sh*t pre-light aroma....the wrapper is like weathered leather, thick and full flavored....mmm....diploma....

i just got my april cigars today so if it stops raining ill go try the diploma.

Cigarsmoka & Mcallan:
OK I hear your message reference the Camacho Dioloma. I assume you mean " The Camacho Corojo Ltd. Diploma Maduro 5x50 @ $ 8.00 each.
Cigarsmoke " unreal".
Mcallan " Second Cigarsmoka"
Just why I entered this Forum.
Both you guys would rather spend $8.00 for a Diploma 5x50 rather than $3.00 for Padron 2000, 5x50.
Just answer a yes, and I'll try them.
Again, my challenge is " Is a Diploma worth almost three times the money of a Padron.
I await your answer.

The Diploma I think we are both refering to is the natural version. The maduro is similar but per past conversations with Smoka we are both hung up on the natural.

Now to answer your question, "is it worth three padrons" that is tough. I would not place this cigar as my everyday cigar (although I would like it to) because of the price but I save them for the special 2 or 3 occassion out of the week when I really fee like I have earned my cigar. Be it the weather is perfect, a good day at the office, etc.

On another note, I would say this cigar is significantly different from a padron. With few exceptions it is the most flavorful and fullest bodied cigar I have ever had the privilage of smoking.

All that said, I would smoke and continue to buy this cigar really at any price. It is the best cigar I have come accross in my 10+ years of smoking. But be warned it is not for the weak stomached. It is definately one for a the connosuer who was a developed palate who can really appreciate and differentiate the aromas.

In my mind this one of the best kept secrets in the stogie world.

All you guys are great. My thanks- I really feel as I am a part of a very good group.
I can relate to a chicken sh.t pre smoke. I can relate to these are not for the casual smoker, and I can relate to that these are a new found prize.
JUST WHY I LIKE YOUR OPINIONS.
I hope I can add value as you guys do. I'll do my best to try and add my opinion.
Most fun I have had in years other than actually smoking these gifts of nature and man.
I'm now ready for a drink and a Padron 3000.
Hopefully, next week it will be a drink and a Diploma.
