Just received my second package from cigar.com - first was those lovely C10, now I've got some Partagas, Montecristos and some others, all in all about $120.00 worth of cigars. And now to top it all off, I have to go to my local post office and pay £64.00 customs charge or in your money $120.00!

How do I have to pay Customs the same amount I paid cigar.com?! That is ridiculous! Not a happy bunny

that is just brutal dude
something like that would inspire me to go "postal" as the saying goes
:ar15:

Phew, I gave them the army speech, flashed a few dog tags, i.d cards and the like and they let me off!! 8)

-Just about to light up a RyJ Churchill!
Quick question about them - should I store them in my humidor in the tube, or take them out of the tube and store them 'naked'!?

Ando,

There may very well be an "excise tax" of up to 100% on certain imported goods into the UK, perhaps from the U.S. There are usually lists at government websites that detail what is taxed and how much.

Perhaps HK looks more attractive now, or maybe the Canaries. You have choices.

i saw this discussed before, i think the decision came down mainly to space. if you need the room, take them out of the tubes, if not, just take the cap off.
footnote, i cut my teeth on ryj churchills, f*cking cant miss with those. love em.

I'm smoking it now reading thru some reports and wow! It is one mother of a cigar - can't get enough of it. If its your thing, go buy one!! :hypercolor:

At least they are being sent postal. Some get through without duties, some dont. Never ship fed ex it gets nailed everytime without exception.
