Well I got my 1st order from cigar.com today, 3 days after ordering!

2- Oliva- Flor de Oliva, maduro, Churchill
1- CAO Gold Natural, Corona
1- Camacho Corojo, Cetros
1- Montecristo No. 3 natural
1- Padron 3000, maduro

I had started lighting the Flor de Oliva (save the best for last) before the fed-x guy got out of the driveway.

I don't know if was just one of those perfect days or what, but man what a great smoking experience. Opened a bottle of one of my better home brewed Imperial IPAs, about 9% (4 months in the bottle) sat down outside listening to the breeze in the tree tops (live in a red oak woods) temp at 70F, warm sun in my face......life is GOOD!!

Sure, I was smoking a $2.25 cigar, but it was , fresh, good draw, burned a little uneven, but very tasty, and no bitterness right to the end. A good $2.25 cigar...am I wrong?

I am really looking forward to trying the rest!!!!

Thanks to you all for helping me make these choices!!!!

Smoke On!!!!!

Great start. I wish I was as smart as you four years ago. You started with a Churchill- I did also. Now I stay with 5' to 5 1/2" cigars. Good ones like the Padron's lasts up to one hour. Enough smoking time for me.

dont be fooled by the price man, a 2 dollar smoke can be better than a 5 dollar smoke sometimes. just look at the honduran primero, a great smoke for only a buck a stick.

ya had me at IMPERIAL IPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yummy....I have a few cascade hop vines in my backyard just for homebrewed IPAs

Mine and my brothers goal is always to find cheap smokes that are as good or nearly so as a 5 plus dollar cigar.

Currently one of my favorites is the AF chateau fuente...3.50...love it.

:D

the best Bang for the buck is "Old Fashion" they are seconds out of the Vazalon factory in Honduros, some are Punch or Hoya de Monterrey , I havent found a bad one yet, & the price is great, RAVYN, who dont you & your brother stop in & split a bundle , I might even toss in a pair of Free sticks this week if you make it friday evening ! Enjoy, Vince

Ouch!
Darn it...Vince...I'm trying to free up some time to get out and smoke a stick with ya. Honest!
Me and RazorKing are flying out of greater Pitt friday morn en route to Georgia. We're packing our little sister up and moving her home for mom for a mothers day present. I'll talk to my brother and we'll coord an eve to come out..I promise :)

Flor de Oliva bundles are great. I just noticed that they are now available in new sizes, and they have a corojo, gold line, anniversary line, and giant line. This will keep me very busy.

And don't forget Consuegra. Another bang for the buck cigar you gotta try. The are also Villazon seconds. Seconds to Punch, Excalibur, El Rey del Mundo, Belinda etc.. For about a buck apiece you will love them. The ones I have smoked have only had minor inconsistencies in wrapper color.

It's beginning to look like the beginning of another Cigar Boom. And don't despair, there are plenty of cigars out there for $1-3 apiece that are just as good as a lot of $5-25 cigars. What cigar besides an Opus X "A" costs $25? How about the Davidoff line? A light Connecticut shade wrapper, mild Dominican tobacco filler and binder for $25. :duh: Give me a Hamilton's House Churchill any day. I bought that box two years ago and I still have a few left and they're still smoking great. Barely over a buck a stick. :duh:
