On "another" forum im on everyone puts their address in their profile. They also put information like their favorite smokes and things like that. It is fun because the people on the forum find out your special events like having a kid or birthday or something and send packages and stuff. its really a lot of fun, especially when people start getting "bombed".

Basically just trying to get peoples input on if they like the idea. I know some people don't want their address in their profile where anyone can read it.

I voted Yes, nothing like getting a surprise package!!

I just use my work address anyway, you need a code to get in the building in the first place so no harm done!!

:D

i dont want my address anywhere public on the internet, i use the same user name on a lot of boards and i have likely made some enemys on other boards. it wouldnt take much more than basic knowledge of google to find my address. theres a lot of crazies out there on the internet.

I agree, I enjoy the suprise package, or "bomb", but I hear what jihiggs is saying as well! Double edge sword....But I really enjoy those suprise packages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:p :p

Bildo792,

No need to be shy, go ahead and send me anything anytime you want! You've got too many pesky cigars anyway. You can have instant room in your humidor by sending little ol' Tiny Tim your cigars!

Good idea? :D

I like it Tim!...I'm ready...Whenever you are ready...Oh ya, sorry, my name isn't Tim! LOL! I love the way you think sometimes Tim!

i wouldn't have so many damn cigars if you and smoka hadn't given me so many at the herf.

Oh wait i said that like its a bad thing! :D

im still trying to figure out the best part of the profile to put the address. But mine will be in there. Im not scared of anyone here except tim.... hes crazy and lets just say the name Tiny tim is a little ironic. I have most everyones address anyway while the box pass is here.

I came to amback forum cause of my interest in firearms. Now I spend most of my time in the cigar forum.

But I have the same user name on a lot of forums, most of them firearms related. So having my address available to everyone isn't the best idea.

I'd love to send and receive surprise packages but it's kind of tough since I'm in Canada =\

:007:

You're probably right with your position ChickenFried!!

 I am only going to post my address if there is a hot girl out there that wants to stalk me. That would be awsome.

that would be acceptable though it shouldnt be open to just any one that joins the forum..

I'm for the PM method also, there are too many d***heads out there with nothing else better to do than harass good people. Oh, and if there is a hot girl roaming around this forum, feel free to stalk me as well!

Sure, why not, I have a Yorkshire Terrier that will take care of any unwanted guests, plus it sounds like Bildo has a large surplus of cigars that he needs to get rid of.

im for any method it would just be nice to have access to a list of address. We could make it so that it is a text file or something and after someone has been on the forum for a month or some pre-set amount of time they will be added to the list and they will get the list as well. I definatly understand why people don't want their address where anyone can read it.

I wouldn't want my address posted where everyone can see it, but I wouldn't be opposed to being on a list that only select people have access to.

I like the list Idea too....

How would it work?

We compile one list then PM it to all those we know around here?

some one would be in charge of compiling the list, just send your address to that person, that will say you want to recieve a list of addresses and you want other people to have your address. it should be left to the descretion of a couple people what newcomers get added to the list. not based on a date the account was created or post count.
