Hey All,

Just found this website and this is fantastic. So if anyone wants to chats cigars (CAO & Perdomo especially) or football (Steelers especially) drop me a line.

This forum is great.

Traitor!!! :D Just kidding, although the browns are still sweet i have to agree the steelers might be a little better. Kinda a hard debate, depending on who you are debating with. A true brown's fan will swear up and down the steelers suck, then he will throw frozen batteries at you while he barks. I like the steelers a lot because of Big ben.
Im from columbus.

Welcome Steeler fan. There's a lot of them here.

There's not too many of us Jets fans though. Well, they suck anyway. Hey Bildo, I love the part about frozen batteries and barking.

All the little chicks with the crimson lips, say . . .

CLEVELAND BARKS, CLEVELAND BARKS!!!!!

Sports is a very volitile subject!! I am a Bengals fan who lives right in the heart of Steelers Country (75 miles south of Pittsburgh). When I was a small child, the Steelers were TERRIBLE. By the time they won their first Super Bowl, I was 13 and deathly hated them.

steelers suck!!! they just take without permission!!! :neer:

Welcome steelerfan!

Bloofington,
Having grown up not 10 minutes from the Jets camp on LI I have to say the past few years have been exciting, even though they can't seem to close the deal. I remember in the late 80's seeing Ken O'brien at the Taco Bell near my house on numerous occasions. We'd always get on him for his INT's...remember 1986?

Glad you could make it, Welcome....That is one heck of a handle!!

Well being in and from Chicago.....I am a fan everything Chicago!!

Go Bears!! Go Cubs!! and, if the Cubs don't make it( )
Go Soxs!!

Axegod75, where were you on the Knight of November 24, 1986?

The Knight They Burned The Seats

It was after No-Ken-Do O'Brien had looked like The Second Coming Of Joe Namath all season long, then Paul Maguire predicted they wouldn't win another game. It happened when they were 10-1. I'm not sure if it was the first or second game after Maguire's prediction, but The Effin Fish were in The Meadowaste for a Monday Knight Football game. It was the night I still call to this day, . . .

The Death Of The Franchise . . .

forever and forever. I lost all hope for the Jets that night and forever. I remember January 12, 1969 all too well, our ONLY day in the sun, and Jesus will return before we even MAKE another Super Bowl, forget about win one.

Anyway, unknown rookie running back Lorenzo Hampton takes a 3rd and 2 handoff with the Cessna's having ten men on the line of scrimmage. I said oh no, he's going to bust through the line and go all the way. Sure enough, he did, 54 yards for a touchdown. The Effin Phish won 45-3 and Cessna fans burned the seats to keep warm, because it was about 15 degrees and the winds were howling. The Jets fans were howling too, and it wasn't about the cold. That was another reason for burning the seats.

I have refused to believe in the Jets ever since. I'll still root for them, but I ain't hopin'.

As Far As the Jets Go.....

They were only one crossbar diameter away from kicking Pittsburgh's ass in the Divisional Playoff. Even though your kicker missed 2 earlier in the game. :p

It was Also Classic....

at the First Steelers/Browns game at the New Stadium. We were there and a group of Steeler fans (who we did not know) were a few rows back. One Brown's backer asked the Pittsburgh guy, "You a Steeler Fan?" Knowing what the reply would be, he dumped his beer over his head.

Classic.

Welcome aboard!

I haven't met too many cigars that I "just plain hate", so my list is a little longer than yours!

Again...welcome!

Rememberr, bildo792 is the insane one; I'm completely sane! 8)

Down side of pouring a beer over a Steelers fan at Heinz field:
1.) Pittsburgh is a drinking town with a football problem!! That guy was less pissed off about the actual act of having a beer poured over his head, then the fact that he wasted a perfectly good beer!!

2.) Once this offensive act occurs, it spreads through the air like a threatened bee, then the whole swarm is knocking at your door....and you are on the wrong of the tracks!

I've got a feeeling! Pittsburgh's going to the superbowl!!!!

Welcome to the forum, hope to have many a friendly posts with you!

Regards,
Paul

I was at that game ---- in the upper deck.

I am not a lover of Heinz Field. Not that I loved Three Rivers, but seeing as they started from scratch, they could have done a better job.

I have been in quite a few professional stadiums for games (Meadowlands, Veterans, Fed-Ex, Paul Brown, Erricson, Ralph Wilson, Alltel, Pro-Player, Heinz and Cleveland) and hands down, the worst fans I have encountered at an NFL game were the Steelers and Browns fans. I have had things thrown at me, cursed, heckled etc.... all for having the audacity of wearing clothing of the opposing team. I think alot of it boils down to serving alcohol at the games. I do not drink, nor do I get rambunctious at games, yet I have come close to physical altercations at Heinz/3 Rivers and Cleveland.

Unfortunately, to many fans forget that it is just a game. It is important to the players and coaches because that is how they make their living. Me, I have to return to work monday's whether my team wins or loses.

browns fans are crazy, that was documented on tv when they pelted refs with beer and batteries. Ive been caught in the crossfire of frozen batteries before and i can tell you first hand, Frozen batteries hurt like a Mother F%)$#@!!

insane yes, but tim is just as insane if he forgets to take the drugs! Trust me i would know cause im on his email list now and get all his crazy emails.

Nice! I heard about that, but I live in Maryland now, so, I wasn't there. Not to mention PNC park is a beautiful ball park for one of the worst ball teams in the league!!!! Pirates Suck!!!
