I find myself really enjoying cigars in the morning, and one of my fav's after breakfast with some coffee is a Short Story....Just an awesome Combo!

I would like to get into some of the smaller size Cubans, and petit Coronas, but for now this baby does the trick!

After morning it's really a potluck as to which gets lit up next...PBL's are always last to go, Cien Anos are a good night cap as well as the Opus abnd ANY Cubans if I have them (but my will power doesn't extend that far past Miami, it knows no restrain!)...

What are some of your favorites at certain times >>??

I start every morning with a Fuente Exquisito.
It is the only Non I smoke.
Not sure what it is about these I like so much, but at $70 for 50 sticks
I am not complaining.
I smoke them all the time, morning, afternoon and night.
I stick with the Maduro, but have some Nat's in my mini.
Other than these I have no set pattern

I'm with you on the Short Story / coffee breakfast. I tried it a couple years ago and haven't changed since. If they were as easy to get as the SS's I'd go with the Choix Supreme's. I've also been smoking a lot of Diplomas in the afternoon.

I like a nice full cigar in the afternoon too...

I think the Choix Supremes would be great for that as well.....sometimes I feel the Short Stories are harder to get than the CS's...

choix supremes for lunch afternoon and dinner are always good to me. I have been smoking them almost everyday in the afternoon. at 6$ a smoke they are basically the best bang for the buck i have found.

My only free time that I get if any is in the afternoon or late evenings. Recently I've become a massive fan of La Aroma du Cuba Churchills. I also enjoy a nice cuban Monte #4 any time, morning noon or night!

On another note, has anyone tried the Sol Cubano connecticut line? I bought a few churchills and some torpedoes and I can't stand them. I'm not sure if I got a few bad ones, but it was like smoking cardboard  Whats more they're #1 on cigar.com's top 10 list - am I going mad?!

Yeah that top ten doesn't nescessarily go by the best cigars, they could be on there for deals as well as flavor etc.....

I like the Maduro of the line, the rest aren't my taste..

How ya Do'n Ando??

How's everything going out there?

A Sol Cubano Corojo is a less expensive cigar that really hits the spot after dinner, with a cup of java, or a cognac.

I love a short story and coffee in the morning. Just started doing it on vacation and now I am really in deep you know what. I am going to make it a ritual.

Ando, remember, the best selling cigar in the states is macanudo. The sol cubano connecticut I find to be pretty good. However the sc maduro is amazing.

This morning a C-10, strong coffee and two pain pills. Surgery was Wednesday and was complicated.Back to work Monday.
C-10 is the best first cigar of the day ever- just my opinion.

Rest up, recover well, enjoy those smokes. It's hard for me to enter such a discussion since I only smoke 100-150 cigars a year. That pales in comparison to guys like Castle Crest at around 2,500.

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :flush:

Cigar

Partigas Spanish Rosado Ramon Y Ramon or a Punch Grand Cru Britania. THE only way to start your day, finish lunch, and enjoy the rest of the day.

Smoka,

I'm doing alright - bit of a tough week with all the things me and my guys have seen. But, we're getting there. We have been given the day off today to let some of the other guys carry on the job, but we'll be back in there tomorrow/tonight some time.

On thursday, I pulled this guy out of one of the coaches, and the first thing he asked for was a cigarette (understandably!) - I reached in my pocket and pulled out a C10, which I later saw him sat on a wall nearby smoking! He loved it! Gave me something to smile about on a really sh*tty day.

Sorry I haven't been giving you much business recently - I'm about to change that and put an order in for a few nice cigars! 8)

Hope everyone is doing alright!

Good to hear Ando....

Hey, I wish I was hogging all the Short Stories!! I think I only have one left!

With all this talk about the Short Story and coffee, I'm gonna have to try one tomorrow morning.

Smoka, what blend of coffee do you drink with it? I'm sure it's strong. I know you guys usually drink some pretty exotic stuff.

Back to the thread: For a morning smoke, I really like the Excaliber Royal Sterling with a dark "freedom roast". Ryan

Cigar of the week....

Well, at the moment in the mornings, I have a Montecristo Club with my rations and a mug of coffee. Then later on in the morning, I crack open another Monte club to enjoy with my water. Then evening rations are enjoyed with yet another lovely Monte Club, and then bed for a few hours and then repeat...!!! :argh:

It's simple; any cigar at any time! The only "kicker" is to have something on my stomach if I'm having a very full bodied, spicey cigar, like a LfD or JdN!!!! If you don't know what I mean, you will if you smoke one of these on an empty stomach!!!! :barf:
