I'm looking for some smaller sticks for shorter periods of time after having a hellish gagging episode after some Al Capones (stay premo--I know). I was thinking some short story's but would like maduros. Can you guys suggest some sticks maybe in the Cohiba XV/Diploma maduro range? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i know dbrad hooked me up with some indian tabac fires
real stumpy little guys...
good as hell
short stories are real good too
thats about as far as i can say for short mothers...
im drunk as hell, and i just got shot down bad...f*cking college for you...
sorry

Al Capones, I am not sure how you can Gagg on those sticks. The last time I was in the Fox River area for dinner we had a couple of the churchills. They reminded me of macanudos, Lots of smoke, no taste, no flavor.
I am telling you that the STEAK was great.
Go to a real cigar store, ask the clerk for a recommendation and believe him/her.
Getting there is at least half of the fun

For short smokes I have tried the IT Fire Corojo Petit Corona, AF Exquisitos, AF Cubanitos, AVO Domaine Puritos, and Rocky Patel '90 & '92 Petit Coronas.

I am partial to the Exquisitos and smoke them frequently.

I buy the Arturo Fuente exquisitos for my wife. They are a good smoke IMHO....

I would suggest the same.
they are a short filler cigar made with the peices from the
better quality smokes

There was another cigar I once tried called a "TKO"
It wa s a small cigar, but VERY STRONG!
Can't recall the Brand?

I am a big fan of the ashton small cigars line.

However, knowing what you like and that you are looking for something like the xv or diploma the closest thing in a tin is the partagas black label pequeno. Lots of flavor.

I got a couple packs of the Ashton small cigars, but I wasn't too crazy about them. They weren't bad, just kinda bland to me.

I just had one of those Partagas Black Labels...they're actually called Prontos...I'll toss in another vote for those. I liked the one I had a lot.

BigTom, I usually smoke the most full bodied sticks out there but the capones I had were the cognac dipped cigarillos so they were flavored on top of being crap. I wouldn't touch them again with a ten foot pole--let alone a churchill.

I'm not a real big fan of ashtons or the black lables.

Maybe I'll just cut some churchills or something from a line I know I like as I was really looking for a stubby 50ish guage. Probably should have been clearer on that but thanks anyway.

I got a pack of Ashton cigarillos, and didn't care for them at first, but really enjoy them now. I smoke them different than a 5x50 cigar. Taking very small subtle puffs, I seem to be able taste much better, hard to explain....thus the ART of smoking cigars, I suppose. Anyway, I think there tasty for what they are.
