To anyone that is interested in have a couple of Cuban Cohiba Esplididos i am willing to trade for something of the same value. Seeing as i am new on the Forum, I would very much like to get ot know each and everyone of you fella's and ladies. Also since i am new to you guys and dolls and you are new to me, in order to show my honest ententions if you decide to trade with me i will very happily be the first to send you some of my collections. I prefer full bodied puros, I do smoke Cuban only on the week-ends and special occasions. While i am not choosey or picky, I have adopted the philosophy that if i am going to do something i am going to do it right and to the fullest, in other words. In for a penny in for a pound.
If anyone is ever in the SanFrancisco Oakland bay area please feel free to look me up and i'll be happy to share a smoke or two with you and maybe a bottle of Cognac or whatever your taste buds prefer. I also posted in thread telling everyone a little about me, but if anyone has any questions for me please do not hesitate to contact me at your leisure.

Hmmmmmmm, sounds like you might be familiar with our own Hollow Point. He lives in that area, or thereabouts, smokes cigars and has been my Whiskey Sensei for the past few years. I like your style. Whenever I propose an exchange, I always like to send first. If I get nothing in return, that's cool, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Speaking of Cohiba Esplendidos, a friend gave me some late last year, but it's going to take until well into the coming football season for me to work up the courage to smoke them. In addition to being Amback/Cigar.com's resident Dumb Blond(e), a/k/a The Great Dumboni, I also can't take cigars with too much of a punch. I like smooth, mild to medium bodied Girly Man Cigars.

Cuban Cohibas have to be aged about a year, but if it was a Bolivar or Romeo y Julieta, it would be at least two. :cryinlaugh:

aw, rjs are the s*** man!

dude, i would love to trade, but im a college student makin 6.50 an hour, so pretty much anythin i can get, you can...ten times over!

but like i said before, you have a badass coat, you're alright in my book!

welcome to the forum

First I need to say the this cigar "COHIBA ESPLENDIDOS "
Is by far the most faked Cuban cigar out there!

On that note I will do a trade with you - BUT first!
I'd like you to PM me where they came from as well as the codes on the bottom of the box.
After that I'll PM back my address and when I get the cigars if they check out I will find something nice to trade back to you.
(I am going away for 4 days next week, so bear with me)-
(leaving on the 4th be back the 8th)

(I am not looking for sources when ask about yours)
I'm sure you can tell I am a very careful person when it comes to this hobby of our. I am sure I will be able to tell if these are the real thing.
I'm sure the peoeple here will vouch for em knowing a little about Cuban cigars - so if your game lets do it!

Saying that Castle Crest knows a little about Cuban cigars is like saying Steven Jobs knows a little about computers, or that Warren Buffett knows a little about money, or that Aretha Franklin knows a little about singing, or that Jimi Hendrix knew a little about guitar playing, or that Carl Lewis knows a little about running and jumping, or that . . .

SOMEBODY TURN OFF THE BLONDE, HIS SWITCH IS STUCK AGAIN!!!

:duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh:

CC is the Man!! He opened me up to the world of Cuban Cigars and has shared much of his knowledge on the subject....

You found the right guy to do a trade with!!

Thanks Guys!
Really kind words that are over the top!
I Love this hobby of our.
I am not an expert, but surely can tell the real deal when I smoke it.
My wife - now she is amazing when it comes to cigar tasting!
I always hand her stuff without bands & 90% of the time she gets it right. Last week I wanted to trick her and agve her a Custom Roll.
Well 2 inches in she says "This has to be a Custom Roll!
Doesn't taste like any standard brand! )

I don't think I'll ever be that good :?

Does she have a sister?? :D

I will have to slowly introduce my girl into the world of cigars, when she goes out, I'll give her the small ones first, maybe some flavored ones...then the progression will begin!!! :D

RE

I know that there are a lot of fake people out there as well as fake Cubano's. I also know that there are a lot of people out there that have the moral terpitude of a door knob. I will gladly give anyone here the codes from the boxes of cubans that i have been grced with from my Brother in Mexico. An expert i am not, I am sire that Castle Crest is far more educated than I. If you will allow me to retort....I am however well aware of how to check the codes and the Rings for the placing of the dots and how the dots on the rings are aligned and a few more ways. In my travels I have learned from smoking Puros for oh about 22 odd yrs, the quickest way other than the above mentioned is to look the person in the eye and ask if you may sample one of his puros from the very box you are comtemplating buying, any and i mean any hesitation on his or her part is a clear and present signal that it is time for you to get out of dodge so to speak. As a former U.S. Marine i have learned how to deal with purveyors of fine puros. Heck the only reason i joined the Corp was for the Cubans..... If anyone has anymore questions as to my sencerity please feel fre to contact me at once.

deacon_meyer,
Believe me when I say I intend no disrespect toward you or your intent! This is how it starts on the interenet when a new person starts trading. I know you offered to ship first and that is the right way to step. I have also seen a LOT of people thik they had the real thing and didn't so I felt it proper to put it out there so we understood.
I'd do it that way with anyone the first time we trade.
I am sure we will both learn from each other & share more than
we first hoped for!

No offense taken at all, I just wanted the oppurtunity to explain a little about myself and a small piece of my background and where my Cigars come from. My brother purchases directly from the Factory. He is well schooled in the art of Cubans and their counterpart the Counterfiets. I would be as careful as anyone here. It costs me several hundred dollars before i learned my lessons. Any of you can come to Oakland, California and purchase a box of Cubans for 500.00

i like your style, but i don't have cubans that can match up to the cohibas you wish to trade. Someday i will be there.

RE

Please do not mistake my small knowledge and lvoe for cigars as saying that i can not be dooped. Anyone can be dooped at anytime for anything. At any rate my offer still stands....

wow that thing is a beast, please pm your addy also so i can add you to the box pass. I will be sending it out tomorrow so time is an issue.

There are to many good counterfits out there. I have gotten counterfits in tubes with perfect bands and boxes with black light codes. The only real way to tell these day is to know who you are buying from and how they smell. And of course to smoke it.

Your right there - in a country where it is VERY hard to live - anything to make money happens.

It's easier to make boxes, bands, seals, tubes and cigars that look perfect than it is to recreate the same blends.

Only smoking them and knowing what they should taste like
can tell you 100% for sure.
But I have had fakes that were very good cigars -
never understood why they didn't just sell them as a cutom rolled cigar?
But I see that happening more and more these days.

That was the case with my Monte 2's Close, but not authenticate, though fortunately, they were still good smokes!
