Hey guys,
Going to San Diego in a couple of weeks. Any spots I should check out down there? I guess I'm staying near Black Mountain.

Ahhhh, just when I'm making my way up to S.F. you're coming down here

Most of the places I'm familiar with are nearer to downtown San Diego...but I'll ask around and see what I can find closer to where you'll be.

Chicken,

there are not many places in San Diego as they are really expenive. There is a shop in Seaport Village. When I lived in San Diego two years ago, I used to go to a Cigar Store on Clairemont Drive. I think coming out of downtown it was Route 15N to Clairemont Drive. Make a right off the exit, and go up the hil. It will be in the second set of stores on the right next to a taco store! Total time, 10 minutes from the airport.l

Captain Hunt Tobacconist in Seaport Village really capitilizes on the areas tourism, avoid it unless you have absolutely no alternative.

I've been to the smoke shop USMC's talking about on Clairmont Mesa Blvd as well. It's called Liberty Tobacco and is a great place. They have some of the best prices in the southland.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Too bad you're headed up to SF, Axegod. Was going to see if you wanted to take a golf lesson or hit the driving range. It's about time I figured out another use besides back up weapons, for the clubs in my garage

Seaport village almost made me sick with their prices. I went exclusively to the Cuban Cigar Factory in the gaslamp district. They have a lounge, a huge walk-in humidor, rollers for their blend, and are very courteous. Its pricey but every place else is as well. I suggest though that you see the USS Midway and check out Dick's Last Resort resturaunt as well.

Dicks Last Resort! Ha Ha!!! What a great place. Do they still have sing sing out there, the piano bar?

I don't know, we went to a piano bar when I was out there in June but I never went in (Nazi smoking ban) and can't remember the name.
