I used to drink lots of beautiful imports and domestic microbrews. Something began to happen to me about three years ago, that really didn't hit me with any profundity until this year. I no longer have a taste for beer, and when I do drink it, I just don't react well any more. Mentally, I sort of miss my favorites, because beer replaced bourbon during the summer, but since I no longer have a taste for it, "missing" it is more conceptual than actual. Evidently it's not just you Blooth, I understand that beer drinking is down and the hard stuff is up. Bildo, it is hard to beat the sights and sounds of a marina, adding in a great smoke,beverage makes it perfect!

as far as liquor i drink vodka on the rocks, but it was just time for a beer yesterday.

Bloof, I don't doubt that some beers have a better taste than others but in the end, they are all bitter. I just don't have the tastebuds for that. I'll admit that on occasion, on a very hot day, an ice cold beer hits the spot, but that is about the only time I can ever stomach one.
