This is probably a dumb question, but for cigars that don't have an open foot, like the Short Story, are you supposed to just light up the end or should you trim it somehow?

i say if you can get a pull with out cutting it, then do it that way. if you cant get a draw you will have to clip it.

I have heard of people doing it both ways, some cut it off so it burns better off the start, I just light mine up though and make sure the burn is okay for that first quarter inch or so

Awesome - thanks for the quick replies!

The little taper at the hot end should give you a better light. A short quick roast then fire it up. I would never trim that end.

Whenever I smoke that type of cigar, I just light it up. I have never had one burn funny before. It's whatever the smoker prefers, that really matters.

Is the font color changer new? I never noticed it before.
