Partagas Black Label Piramide?

Alright gang, I think I just found my new favorite smoke. I bought a couple of the Partagas Black Label Piramides and (on the basis of one cigar) I want to order a few pallets. How many boxes to a pallet anyway?

The cigar smelled great before I fired her up and it smelled better after I lit it. It burned perfectly, tasted great (strong and way smooth), and didn't cost an arm and a leg and an eye. The piramide shape makes it a #60 ring-size cigar that won't dislocate your jaw.

I've been disappointed often enough to know you don't rush out to buy a cigar, in quantity, on the basis of one smoke. I fear the cigar will be "discovered", and the price tripled, if I hesitate though.

Concurring opinions? Dissent?

the industry isnt big enough for a cigar to be discovered and i think the people involved in creating and selling them have more class than to jack up the price tripple when a cigar gets popular.

I purchased two of the Black Label, both Magnificos. I smoked one and sent one to Ravyn. The one I smoked was very good. I will purchase more soon, although I'm sorta stuck on the Vegas 'A' right now.

If you like the Partagas Black Label, you should try the Vegas "A" if you already haven't. A bit more flavorful (IMHO) than the PBL. I agree about the PBL though, definitely a great cigar.

The Partagas Black Label is definately a great smoke; one of my favorites. In my opinion the Vegas 'A' is nothing like the Black Label but I guess it is to Capt.

Anyways, don't stress and feel you have to run out to buy a million. Just buy a box and you'll be fine. They aren't going anywhere.

yes the partagas black label (not the other PBL, capt your post may confuse people into thinking you are talking about the el cobre) is a great cigar. Dont worry about discovery, it had its major hayday back in 2002 and is now readily available. Interesting thing about that cigar, it is not a true maduro. It has what is called a medio tiempo wrapper that is cured differently.

If you liked that cigar you absolutely have to try the 5 vegas A. Very similar taste only the A is cheaper and better in my opinion.

That's good to hear. I guess I'm a little gunshy. I used to get really nice cigars for very reasonable prices. At some point during the 90's, everybody--and I do mean EVERYBODY--started buying cigars. Every mom 'n' pop bodega seemed to be installing humidor rooms. The ineluctable laws of supply and demand caused prices to go berzerk. Suddenly, cigars that were barely adequate for use as punks to light fireworks off of were sporting multi-color bands and premium prices. This may have been more of a local phenomenon, but I quit haunting the smokeshops for several years and am now trying new stuff.......again.

I'll definitely keep an eye peeled for the Vegas "A".
