So what do you guys think about these? Which is the best RH pack for a 25 stick humi? How many go in the humi?

Depending on the fussiness of your smokes, i.e. Diploma= lower humidity. For a 25 ct, I see no problem with just one. I have only used them in the zip bags for shipping out cigars. I know Eclipse likes them, so maybe he can answer a little more in-depth.

I use them in my humidors.
I have a 69% in my 50 ct and a 72% in my 100 ct.

They haven't faltered or dropped in humidity at all for the last month.

The recommended number of pouches to use is 1 for every 50 cigars plus one more. My tobbaconist said that's not neccessary as long as you have a humidity disc in your humidor.

Like I said, I have only one bag in each of mine and they work fine.

For a 25 ct, you could use a 68% or a 69%. That would be fine. Just make sure that your humi os seasoned properly before you use them.

Thanks! I do need to check out the seasoning process, thats something else I cant seem to find information on the wed.

One for every 50 cigars plus one more. But once the RH is stable I see no reason for the second one. Boveda actually makes a one-step seasoning packet that's 84%. I don't use these in my frigidor because I have a Cigar Oasis but I use them when I gift cigars to people that don't have humidors.

I found an article on how to season it, ill have to settle for that way for now. Im broke now  after my orders, so if this process doesnt work, ill order that seasoning kit.

I don't suggest you wipe down the inside of your humidor. You may warp the wood or worse, you may cause it to get mildew.
BAD JOO JOO

Just get a little cup (around 1/8-1/4 cup) of distilled water and place that cup at the bottom of the humidor. Let that sit for about 3 or 4 days until your hygrometer reads 69%-71% steadily. If it holds that reading for 2-3 days then it's good to go. Then just fill the humidifier with distilled water and/or put the Boveda pack in and let your cigars rest!

That's what I've done for my humidors.

Hmm, good point.

Every time I get a package from cigar.com, they come with water pillows. They're pretty good for short term storage.

Have you gotten any Boveda packs yet?

No, not yet. Im flast busted until friday, which will prolly be when everything comes in. I HATE UPS...companies need to give you the option of shipping stuff with other carriers. The cigar.com order will be here in the next couple of days, and the thompson order wont be here till the 2nd

Whats a water pillow?

WATER PILLOWS

SIMPLE: Just dip in distilled water for 20 seconds then sli pinto plastic sleeve

PORTABLE: Small enough to take anywhere

EFFICIENT: Lasts 30-45 days

DISPOSABLE: Just toss when you're done

I'd go with the Boveda, though. They only cost about 4 bucks and they last for 3-4 months.

A word of advice against Thompson, most people have had horrible experiences with them and even shun the use of the name here.

So Ive figured out now lol. A good friend of mine is an avid cigar smoker...he's nearly finished with a full room sized humidor complete with TV, chair, and his spirits,as well as a massive seperate ventillation system...spends over 5k a year on sticks. He told me about his bad experiences after I had already placed the order. He said from now on to use Cigar.com, JRCigars.com, and CigarsInternational.com...Ill take his word.

Ive yet to recieve a tracking number from either companies...and the order from Cigar.com was ordered early enough(1030am yesterday) for it to be same day shipping(per website FAQ)

Syntax... if you have not gotten a shipped email from cigar.com call 800.357.9800 They are redoing some of the order confirmation emails and there may have been a glitch. Especially with backorders.

As for the water pillows they are great and the slider bag from Cigar.com is great. When I am on the run I am able to throw sticks and and reuse it like a mini travel humidor.

I use Ziploc freezer one-zip bags. I still want to get an aluminum pistol case type humidor though. Only trouble is you only see them within crappy "deals."

RH went to about 78 for few days so I took it out and using a small credo. is that good enough for seasoning ?? cant tell how well it is holding because I keep looking in box to check it.
