"Stuck On Stupid." . . .

Remember General Honore? He's the three star general who stepped in at New Orleans and got things moving.

In case anyone here needs to know what "stuck on stupid" really means, or who might be representative of someone who is stuck on stupid, consider my thread addressing DevilDog723 and Castle Crest this morning.

What happened to me on Monday night, and which has lasted until this very minute, and will last until I make it (HOPEFULLY!!!) alive to Grand Central Terminal, and the pharmacy there, should NEVER have happened, after what happened on June 25, 2000 and June 25, 2002. It's because I have two brain cells and they're constantly getting tangled up in the blond hair.

So, the next time you think of the phrase "stuck on stupid" and you might be wondering exactly how to picture it, or describe it to someone else, tell them to see the picture of Bloofington in the Dummies Dictionary. That's (me) STUCK ON STUPID.

All together now, the WHOLE stadium.

Now now. We all have our moments. Lighten up on yourself. There is a reason that you are still alive from the 1978 incident, so give yourself some credit.

Are you saying you had unexpected major health problems on the EXACT same date in 2000 and 2002? If so, that is freaky! Do you approach 25 June every year with some trepidation? Hope to hear you are doing better very soon.

hope you're feeling better bloof.
This is such an endearing phrase now for me.......I use it all the time.

:D

Hey FreedomGuns, search me as to how to answer your question. It's a real mystery. But the kicker is this:

June 25th is also the day I graduated high school (1974)!!!

:eek:mg: :dunno: :eek:mg: :dunno: :dunno:

I'm usually able to figure these things out, but I'm completely baffled on this one.

"The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." - Deuteronomy 29:29 (NKJV)

Here's another thing. THIS attack occurred on October 25, 2005. Maybe I just have a thing for 2's and 5's? :dunno: :dunno:

Thanks again to all the well wishers, both public and private, and those who have also privately offered their assistance. As it is The Sabbath, a special blessing upon you all. God bless you.

I made it to the city safely, floated over to Rite Aid pharmacy in Grand Central Terminal and picked up the Advair 250 yesterday evening. I'm back on the program, but I'm in bad shape, very bad. The airway has opened much wider, but I'm so weak, a six year old girl could kick my ass up and down the block right now. I have undone a lot of good work with this latest episode of "blond(e)ness." I got overconfident, and made foolish assumptions about where my health was. I will admit to needing to be told certain things more than once in life, even twice. There are times when I need to learn something or hear it even three times. My asthma should not have been one of those things.

I also made it to my chiropractor this evening, to relieve some bad tension and displacement in my neck. That also helped immensely. There is plenty of soup in the house, fresh fruit, and coffee and whiskey, which will both help greatly in continuing to open up my airway.

Oh, and here's my rendition of a once popular country song.

A one, Anna two, Anna three:

Mamaaaaaas, don't let your babies,
Grow up to have blonde brains,
'Cause blonde brains get hit by fast trains, . . .

Ditto!

You have TOO many resources available to you, Bloof, not to take advantage of them. Especially when those resources are your friends!

Feel better, brother.

I was telling one of the newer members here on PM early this morning how when I logged on to "that other web site, long ago and far away" five and a half years ago, that I was astounded at the good will that I found in the American and worldwide cigar smoking community. I told this member that almost without exception, I find this good will existent today, and it still leaves me shaking my head. The Lord bless you all mightily on this Sabbath Day and forevermore.  :pumpkin:
