Good cigar? Thinking about ordering a box of them, found them cheap as hell (30bux for 20)

So that's what Mike paid for them!!! A friend of mine sent me a box two years ago. At that price, you won't be disappointed. It's a smooth, medium bodied, but flavorful cigar that won't disappoint when that's all you need to pay for them.

I really like the RyJ that i ordered. Along the lines of that? I think I really prefer the sweeter cigars

That's an interesting question. I haven't had an RyJ in years, and I remember really liking those. Off the cuff, I'd have to say it's a good analogy.

Awesome. Gonna run down and place my order here in a bit. Local tobacconist is having some sort of sale, and I had a message on my voice mail when I woke up this morning saying orders for the 5 Vegas A series in boxes of 20 are 30bux in the 44ring size, 4.5in though :?, but at least itll be a good start to see if I like them. I was checking them out on cigar.com to read about them, i love the black box and the cedar sleeve...which brings up a question: Are you supposed to leave the cedar sleeve on the cigar while in the humidor?

Now that you describe them in detail, I believe this is different than the 5 Vegas that I am familiar with. Hopefully I won't get my ass kicked if it turns out you don't like them.

As for the cedar sleeve, I'd take them off. I recommend taking everything on a cigar, cedar, cellophane, whatever it is, off of a cigar prior to placing in a humidor.

Well, here are a few pictures that you can use to reference. Very dark maduro wrapper.

When I run down there today to place the order, Ill ask if he has any in stock, buy one, and smoke it up to see how I like it.

Wow!!! And they're costing you HOW much? Buy them. If you DON'T like them, I'll trade you.

Syntax, they are a great cigar. In between med-full bodied, they never dissapoint. Also has greater flavor than the medio tiempo wrapper on the Partagas black label. I myself just got a box, and Macallan himself smokes the heck out of 'em. Enjoy!

Go for it Syntax. I bought a box of the Artisan on cigarbid.com. Great smokes. A little more on the full side of medium/full bodied to me but great construction, burn, flavor. I'm down to my last 4 or 5 sticks. Gonna have to pick up more.

Awesome. I went down today to place the order and see if he had any in stock. He was out of stock on them, but assured me that they were a great smoke and that I would be pleased. Sooo, I went ahead and ordered a box. He said I could pick them up wensday morning:)

A deal like that can't be passed up.

CI has a deal on Natural cigars by Drew Estates.
Buy a box and get 24 of their new lines for free!

I'm going to get those for my buddy in Iraq. Well, half of them anyway! HAHA

hello, just toss in my thoughts. just received an order and had the Artisan in the order, smoked it yesterday. ring was a little bigger than I think I like, 50 is probably my limit but good even burn, nice ash and overall very nice. I am still trying different ones to see what I like but would probably get another Vegas A but smaller ring

I wish I had more money and a bigger humidor, id order more! There are tons of specials going on today. Cigar.com has a special goin on with the same cigars I bought this morning, like 39bux or something and a free 5 pack of the A series in one of the bigger sizes.

CI has that, and a few others, including the A series with a $100 100 stick 5 Vegas humidor for 30 bux if ordered with a box of the A series.

JRCigars.com has something goin on as well with like a massive 20stick premium maduro sampler for a damn good price.

Id buy all of them if I had the money/space.

Tell me about it!
Like Wolf said before, "Welcome to the madness!"

This "hobby" of ours gets crazy & expensive.....but I love every min of it!
My wife on the other hand.........

Your wife gets in the way huh?

My mom wont stfu! Shes keeps rambling on how girls dont like it and how its for rich old guys who have lost everything in their life and turn to smoking cigars and blah blah blah. She doesnt know how much Ive spent in just a week haha.

How do the Vagas A compare to the Vagas gold? The gold is ok tasting, but has a real skunky smell.

Thanks
Martin

Yup. 3 of the locals do. I think they get them from wholesale auctions though with that kind of deal. Thats like 10 bucks less than what an e-tailer that outsells them by a very large margin sells them for...
