Macallan Needs Your Help

Hey Gents,

Well before moving to chicago I was a big skeet shooting and sporting clays enthusiast. Now that I live in Chicago, it is hard enough owning a gun let along finding a place to go shoot clays. The best and closest gun club to me is the Northbrook Gun Club in Lake Zurich, IL

It is a suburb up by Lake Forest North of the City. Quagmire is that out by you?

Anyway, it is a private club and only has about 800 members. To join you need to be sponsored by a current memeber. I know it is a long shot but I am trying everywhere. Does anyone know someone who belongs to this club or would anyone know someone who knows someone? Thanks guys for any help.

No, its still about 45 minutes away or so I believe. I'm not really into guns so I don't know of any places. But I know a few people who do a lot of hunting so I'll ask them if there's any places you can just pay a fee.

Alex, if you look, they should have a club directory, maybe you can "buy" a sponsor with some sticks or something. Detroit Gun Club is right down the street from me. It is one of the top clubs in the nation. I'll ask around there and see if I can get you anywhere.

perhaps you should try going to the main board and try posting within the NORTH CENTRAL regional board or GENERAL SMOOTHBORE forum with the inquiry. While Amback has a diverse cross section of topics, the main focus is firearms. (note: remember to only post in one or other because it is against forum policy to make identical postings in multiple forums

will do. thanks for the suggestions everyone. I did some further research and it appears I can go talk to the club manager to obtain a sponsor.
