would anyone recommend buying cigars of the internet? how does the quality campare to a cigar shop? thanks, Nick

No problem. I get all my cigars on the internet. In addition to the fine folks at our affiliate, Cigar.com, and the great house cigars and special deals they offer, there are a plethora of good places to order from. I'll send you a PM later with my favorites.

Hi, heres my suggestion, you can have the best of both worlds. Find a B&M that you love to shop at, go to their web site and order away. I found a great store in Kingston, NY, called the Uptown Cigar Company. We were on our way to a Yankee game and stopped in Kingston to have lunch. This is the greatest cigar store that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Its 3 hours from where I live, so I order online from them. They have the best customer service on the planet. I highly recommend them. (http://www.uptowncigar.com). I also order from JR's. No problem there either. good luck. I hope this helps

Oo, Wow! Another kentuckian! Welcome!
Ive had nothing but great experiences with ordering online, except from TCC, stay away from them!

99.9% of all my sticks come from the internet. I believe the only reason I would need a B&M establishment would be to try something that I had never had, but in my current situation, I would get in touch with one of my fellow BOTL from one of these forums and ask if they had a spare for me to try in trade or something. That's really how I got turned on to allot of the stuff that I enjoy now was through trades and box passes and so on.

Enjoy,
Paul
