Man you guys are going to hate me for this. I had a hard time choosing. For me it came down to Oliva and Joya de Nicaragua, but I had to hold strong with Oliva. Their maduro is just too good.

Rocky techically makes his cigars in Honduras but all of his cigars are Nicaraguan, at least the vintage lines are. Given that, I thought he should be included in the Poll.

oliva hands down! not because their more expensive stuff is the best, but because i have never had a bad cigar from oliva. they are all top quality, sure there are some that i dont like too much, but i still give them credit for them even though i dont care for that particular blend. and if im not mistaken they also make the el cobre. which based solely on that fact makes them top dogs in my book.

It was tough...Oliva is great. But I actually chose Padron only becaue of how distinct and unique every single one of their cigars are.

(I smoke more Oliva, and I have a box of MB I Torps and a box of Padron Londres Maduro, and a box of 64 anniversario's....

and the El Cobre...I still have a bundle when they were known as Papa Bruce Lee's! :D

does it say papa bruce lee on the band? if it does you gotta give me one, or at least the band.

No, they are naked bundles.....

I wonder what the band would be with a name like that...

Can you all guess which one I picked...?

It was close between Rocky and Oliva but I've NEVER been let down by a patel. (except by the 92 but I'm just partial to the 90)

I have to go with Padron as well. Their taste isn't like any other. I've yet to have a single PAM 64 burn unevenly. I'm sure the Imperial that I'll smoke this afternoon will be great too.

I cant figure out why more people dont like joya de nicaragua as much. I think it is a great alternative to the pricey padron anniversary

ive not had any joya de nicaraguas. hehehe, i can never say that word without thinking about beavis saying "NEEK A RRRRAGUAAAAAA!"

Sad to say I have only had the Rocky Patel. I do have a Joyo de Nicaragua, a Padron and a Diploma in my tupidor right now just waiting for the right time to enjoy them.

Perdomo all the way. Havent had a bag cigar from Perdomo yet, and the Edicion de Silvio line are the best cigars that I have had a chance to smoke and enjoy.

I think Oliva is putting out the best tobacco right now. The are the second largest grower of tobacco in Nicaragua. (Placencia is the biggest) And like someone said before. Never had a bad one...ever...the construction is tremendous.

I love Padrons, but many of my favorite Padrons are made in Honduras.

Rocky Patel has some great cigars too, but he doesnt grow any tobacco, so who really knows where all of his tobacco comes from.

Oliva gets my vote for best Nicaraguan. 8)

The Oliva tobacco Company and Oliva Cigar company I believe, are not the same. They are two separate companies all together, with no relation.

As I am smoking my El Cobre by Oliva, I think I have to change my vote from the Padron to Oliva. This is an awesome smoke. Full bodied, but yet very smooth with a sweet finish. I will be placing an order for a box of these.

True!!

The Oliva's that I am talking about are the Oliva Cigar Family. US based in Miami and farms and factories in Nicaragua. These Oliva's make cigars.

The other is US based in Tampa - Oliva Tobacco Company owns farms in Nicaragua, Honduras and Ecuador. These Oliva's sell tobacco to everyone.

Like you said though...no relation. (But they both originate from the same area of Cuba I've heard.)
