The Partagas Black Label features a Medio Tiempo wrapper, vs. the Costa Rican wrapper on the Vegas "A". I used to smoke the PBL alot, but have switched to the Vegas "A", because of the price difference, and more flavor IMHO.

I have to agree with the Capt, the Vegas "A" is every bit as good as the Partagas, but a couple of bucks less a stick.

When I am in the mood for a big dark cigar like the PBL I some times will grab a Sancho Panza Double Maduro , the 6.5 x 48 retails for about 47 bucks for a box of 20., I hope this helps a bit. Enjoy, Vince

That Sancho Panza Double Maduro is a real nice smoke for the price.

I smoke both sticks by the BOX.

I enjoy the 5 Vegas Alpha (Torp) the most, with the Partagas Classico and Magnifico coming in second place.

Mucho goodo!!!! (Like my Spanish Brenda?)

Re-reading my post I should add that I find the Alpha to be slightly sweeter and the Partagas to be a little more full in taste.

After reading these posts I'm gonna buy some Sancho Panza Double Maduros. Don't get me wrong, I really like 5 Vegas As and Partagas Black labels very much. But, Vince is right, you can't go wrong for the price of the Sancho Panzas.

I like the Sancho Panza Double Maduro myself - for the price its a great cigar - especially for the golf course.
