XIKAR will sharpen their cutters free for life.
Sent mine in about 2 weeks ago - and today in the mail I received a BRAND NEW, in the box replacement cutter.

Wow. I remember when Xikar turned their attention to cigar cutters, about six, seven years ago I believe. I have never heard of a single dissatisfied customer. It seems to me like you get what you pay for with Xikar.

That's what my dad always says. Don't buy the cheapest just because it's cheap. Look for where the highest affordable quality is, even if you have to push your budget. Don't break the budget, just push it if you have to, but always get quality. And durability of product and customer service are two of the vertebrae in the backbone of quality.

I had a little trouble with one of my Xikar's; sent it back 3 times to be resharpened, repaired, etc., but the third time was the charm! I just recieved a brand new X1 in the mail, with a new leather sleeve!

Xikar's are WELL worth the money!

I have 2 of them love them both, one keeps loosing its relese pin, I guess I sould send it in, , nothing like having a good back up cutter, Enjoy, Vince

I tried to use that logic on my wife when I wanted to buy a Bugati. She wouldn't go for it. She just gave me that look . . .

My wife just gave me the X1 for christmas. I love it and it sounds like I'll be loving it for years. I was going to buy one of the X12 nylon composite as a spare. How does it compare to the X1?

Personally I prefer the Multi tool, I think it cuts nicer.
That said I own a few of each and love them all!

My shop owner has incredible prices on these so I'm going back this weekend for another. I currently have an Xi but want an Xi3 to replace it so that I can use the Xi for when I have to get the Xi3 sharpened. As it is I've had my Xi for about 5 months now and its just starting to slip on the cut a little so I don't thing the switch-offs will be too frequent, but it never hurts to have a little more style.

I'd like a multi tool for cutting larger cigars (bigger than a 54 ring I think it is) into sections but I don't do it often enough that I can justify buying one.

I end up using the multi tool ALOT. It's a great cut and it doubles as a pen knife when needed.

I just wish I would stop losing them.

I have a swiss army knife with the cigar cutter I use when I dont have the xikar with me, some times I have them both, depends on what cigar I am cutting & what pocket I reach into , I like a V Cut on torps, & have a table V cutter in the Qtr.Deck , it is a BIG S.O.B
the older xikar is about 3 years old & has never needed to be resharpened, but the release pin comes out at time, that one will get sent back, , I like the cutter , I like the v cut, I like the swiss army knife , what ever, as long as the cigar gets cut , lit & smoked
No Problem ! enjoy, Vince
