Have any of you seen this movie/documentary? Its a long interview with Robert McNamara. Its very interesting to hear things from his point of view. So many people blame innocent deaths on him personally and consider him a negligent killer but this really makes you question those beliefs. He still got a lot of people killed in my opinion but what political leader who "led" soldiers into combat didn't?

There is a part where he discusses the Japanese firebombings and General Lemay's role in them. General Lemay is said to have acknowledged that he acted as a war criminal but because the US won he would not be considered one. Then McNamara acknowledges his actions would be considered war crimes as well and asks what dictates that only the winner of a war should not be considered a criminal.

I'm not trying to set off a polital debate and I know this is off topic for this forum but it was just a very interesting film.

Nobody? You should all go out and rent it. Its also currently airing on Encore True Stories I think.

I watched it a few months ago. The parts about the Cuban Missile Crisis and World War II were fascinating. I know the parts about Vietnam are controversial, but it is great movie and one of the best documentaries I have ever seen.
